When Leah’s ex-boyfriend Kevin betrays her in a horrifically public way, she leaves town to spend her last summer of college in a place where no one knows who she is, what happened to her, and what she did to make herself so vulnerable.
All she wants is a little peace of mind and some good surfing so she can regroup before returning for her senior year.
After his own tragedy a few years ago, Drew developed an entirely new and unique outlook on life and became a risk-taker, daring and dangerous, everything Leah wanted to avoid.
But a chance encounter forces her to let Drew into her life, little by little, secret by secret. He’s smart, funny, persistent, hot, and makes money in a rather unconventional way.
They share a mutual fascination and attraction, until her past with Kevin complicates her present with Drew, making Leah question her future.
Just as her life seems to be spinning out of control, Leah learns that sometimes you save someone by letting them save you.

MY REVIEW -
All Leah
wanted to do that summer was to surf, remain incognito and forget. After giving
her heart, and most especially her trust to her boyfriend Kevin, he betrayed
her in the most public, humiliating, and horrible way. This forced her to leave
town and spend her last summer of college in a place where no one knows who she
is, and what happened to her in the past.
Surfing
is her reprieve. It gives her adrenaline, a sense of peace and freedom that she
longed for…
Here she
met Drew – who had his own tragedy in the past that made his priorities, goals
and direction in life shift. He’s a risk-taker, daring and dangerous to her
heart. All Leah wanted to do was to avoid him. But he seems to have a way of
getting into her line of vision, and continuously coaxing her to come out of
her shell.
Then one
day, a reckless decision made by Leah allowed Drew to enter into her life, bit
by bit, pieces by pieces – secrets and past were starting to unfold. They
started to grew closer and to trust each other. Who won’t like Drew?? He’s
smart, amazing, funny, determined, HOT and yes, he has tons of money he made
out of using his brains. Although, all the while I though the action was going
to start from there.
Nevertheless,
just when things start to get cozy, Kevin returns and complicates her life even
more. She was ready to return home, but after what her ex-boyfriend did, her
future suddenly becomes something bleak.
Break My
Fall is an interesting read about a girl who had experienced something no girl
would ever like to undergo to. It was humiliating and terrible – not just for
herself but for her family as well. There was nothing they could, or she could
do but to go away and let it die down. Leah started out as a girl who likes to
keep things to herself, thank goodness for Drew who was persuasive enough to
get into her life and show her to live and trust once again.
