MY REVIEW -

OMG!

Okkkay. So much for my excuse with his anger. He did have anger problems and it was ruining whatever perfect little thing they have.

Three years later after their HEA, Layla and Landen are living in Spain. He is playing professional soccer and she is finishing her college degree. I thought everything was going perfectly between the two of them, but I guess perfection only happens in fairytales.

Then all of a sudden, her Aunt Kate called her and gave her a news that could change her future, she knew she has to tell her secret: she’s pregnant… and she would not do anything to jeopardize her child’s life, even if it means it would be the death of her.

But Landen wanted her alive, he wanted the love of his life. And there was one thing he never wanted to be his entire life – he didn’t want to be a father.

Layla is a forgiving soul and often offering excuses for his behavior and his lashing out, but he had never hurt her physically. He would hit walls, throw furniture, but never directed at her.

Now his anger brought not just his relationship but his career on the line. He was given an ultimatum – get help of he would lose it all. It may have took a lot of convincing, and a whole lot of begging, but in the end, he did it.

The letter at the end of the story seeped through my very soul – it wasn’t a letter of a person who has anger issues, it was a letter of a desperate man. A man who would beg, swallow his pride, not afraid to grovel to save the person who had given him everything in the world and asked nothing in return. But what surprised me most is that this letter is a silent plea from a father who would risk anything, give up everything for a child that he didn’t want primarily. I was in tears. I was heartbroken. In this letter, all my hatred for him vanished, this amazing guy, no matter how f*cked up he is, no matter how screwed things out big time is a good man, and there is no doubt that he will be a good husband and a good father someday.
