It’s

a body of one of his former ‘regulars’ turned up dead – it was all Derek has
been waiting for to finally put his plans into actions. But Sloan was sleek, he
can just get away with anything using his money and connections. Derek was
willing to do anything to protect his family, at whatever extent, but Patrick
Knight strategized a plan that will surely bring Sloan to his knees. It may
involve something illegal – something that their agency was not in favor of. But,
what choice do they have, when everything Derek loved and lived for is at risk?
His love for Melissa is unquestionable. He would do anything for her and the
baby.
It’s
good to see Patrick and Elaine, and just like the two, their love was also
growing, but there might be some issues needing to be addressed ASAP.
The
suspense was killing me – I held my breath for so long, waiting for what is
going to happen, what are they going to do, and the consequences of their
actions. The scenes were intense, and I’m not just talking about their
sleuthing.
I
loved every page of it – the rush of suspense, the steamy scenes, and the
familiarity of old characters. It got me hooked from the first page down to the
last, and I couldn’t wait for the next book in the series!
