"Nobody’s getting’ this Lucky."

Who’s going to be that Lucky girl who will sweep him off his feet?

Luke “Lucky” O’Conner will forever be a bachelor. That, first statement up there is his mantra. He loves his singlehood, he loves the freedom, he loves his business, and he has some dark secrets he didn’t need anyone to know. When Kaley Harlow, former sweet child-star, walks into his shop – his world did a 180. Not only that he tattooed the number of the safe on her hip (which I know was really one of those WTF-dumb moments), the attraction was a bit strong too. He knew he needed to get close, but he wasn’t prepared for the sexual tension, the intense attraction that they will eventually share. Ah yes, he has three weeks to get those numbers.

Kaley wanted a normal life. She wanted to get away from her former child-star status of being a goody-goody. Her agent signed her up for a movie contract when all she wanted to do was to leave the business, leave a normal life and finally go to college. So, she do things that will ruin her pristine reputation – she colors her hair, inks her skin and will love to pierce her body too!

She thought she had left him in his tattoo parlor – but this man who had her panties in knots showed up for the second time, and offered to help her sabotage her reputation. How can she say no, when her mind gets crazy whenever he’s near? But she never thought that this guy had more secrets than the tattoos on his body. His past had the potential to ruin more than just her reputation – it may ruin her heart too.

So he tries to drive her away – but the new Kaley wouldn’t let him (thank goodness). She fights her way to his heart. The sexual tension was frustrating – he was building up anticipation, and it was killing Kaley that he wouldn’t go through with it. It was a pretty much long foreplay – but the whole thing was so worth it when they finally made it to the bed. OMG. It was soooooo hot!!!!!!! Indeed, good things come to those who wait!

But before he lays her feelings for her, he needed to lay his secrets first. Starting with the numbers inked on her hips, followed by his dark past. But before he can even start explaining – she overheard it, and all-hell broke loose. My heart broke a little for her, and for him – good thing Lucky knows how to do his grand gesture! I was thinking of hearts and flowers, but he did better. And thank goodness for Fallon, who miraculously showed up when he was needed the most.

His secrets just broke my heart, and I understood why he needed to protect Kaley from himself. But he underestimated this girl, if he thinks she was too weak for him, he was all wrong. Kaley can take him, his secrets and everything that comes in between. The love they shares was so much stronger than his past, and is enough to make them a future.

I had fun reading this book just as I had reading the first one in the series. Kelly knows how to stir up anticipation, and when you are just about to get sexually frustrated, she gives you one hot steamy scene that will raise the temperature of your room to some notches. She knows how to tickle your senses: to make you smile, to make you cry, and to make you fall in love. This was one short read that makes a great addition to the series.

“Put your hand under your dress,” he said, his thumb still stroking that damn wet beer bottle like it was her clit.

Kaley turned to see if anyone was watching.

“Hey!” Lucky’s stern voice whipped her head back to him. “Look at me. Don’t worry about anyone else. I’ll warn you if someone is coming.” His feet spread her legs farther apart. “Where you’re sitting, I’m the only person who can see you. Now, do as I say, unless you want me to stop.”

His daring eyes held hers, and all discretion slipped out of her grasp. She gave him his answer by dropping her hand beneath the table.

“That’s good,” he rasped, deep and low. “Now place your hand on your thigh and slide up to the top of it. Are you there yet?”

She nodded.

“I want you to grip it hard.”

With her heart racing and wishing his hand was there instead of hers, her fingers dug into her flesh.

His eyes raping her of any reluctance, he bent forward and grunted, “Harder.”

Noting all the hot spots, the tight grip he had on the beer, his biceps and the tattoos bulging from the cut of his sleeves, his mouth that lay slightly open, Kaley squeezed tighter.

“Are you wet?”

“Yes,” she gasped, clinging tighter to her thigh. “I’m so wet.”

His tongue tapped his top lip. “Are you throbbing?”

“God, I’m aching for you,” she said, and she meant it, for she wanted nothing more than his tongue on her.

“Kaley,” he said, swaying closer, tempting her, “tell me, is your pussy mine?”

“Yes,” she breathed out. “It’s all yours.”

Kelly resides in a quiet suburb somewhere between Buffalo and Niagara Falls, NY. Her day job? Kelly's worked in the healthcare field for years, representing a group of reputable nursing facilities in the WNY area.

She's been faithfully writing for three years. However, she wrote her first book ten years ago but had to put it down to raise her son as a single mom.
