(Luminescent Juliet, #2)
Author: Jean Haus

12, 2013
Publisher: Skyscape
Age Group: New Adult
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Tour organized by: AToMR Tours
Even if he weren’t the lead singer of the popular college band, Luminescent Juliet, Justin Noel would have his pick of women. And he does pick. Nightly. Tattooed, blonde, and green eyed, he flashes his dimples and females swoon.
Except for one.
Tattoo artist, Allie Landon, rarely dates, and especially not men like Justin. Though he’s hot enough to melt off permanent ink, she’s done with the bad boy type. But when the ex who broke her heart wants to reunite, desperation has Allie introducing her latest client as her boyfriend. Justin’s more than happy to play the part. He’s completely intrigued by the sexy artist and college student.
However, Allie’s life isn’t what it seems. There’s little room in it or her shattered and confused heart for Justin. But as Justin remains persistent, ignoring the growing attraction—both physical and emotionally—between them becomes more difficult than tattoo removal.
*New Adult. Recommended for mature readers due to language, drug references, and sexual situations

MY REVIEW -
Is the player going to get played?
Tattooed, blonde, with
swoon-worthy dimples and green eyes, Justin Noel, one of the members of the
popular college band, Luminescent Juliet has his own share of women. But it
doesn’t mean he didn’t have his standards. He wanted them to be HOT, NOT WASTED
and they can’t be a BITCH.
He can have every girl that he
wants, at his demand, every girl except one.
She’s totally talented and
hard core – young tattoo artist Allie Landon doesn’t really date, and tries to
stay off guys like Justin. She already had bad experiences with bad boys and
had already sworn them off. But when her douche of an ex came into town, she
went into a desperate mode that made her introduce this hottie as her boy
friend. Justin is very willing to play the part. This is his chance to finally
get to know the sexy tattoo artist who had him with the sound of her voice.
Allie, however, has a lot of
skeletons in her closet. Bombs continue to explode in front of Justin as the
skeletons come out one at a time. It came as a surprise at first, but Justine
was determined to have her. But getting into her life is not that easy, he
needed to work a little harder to get into her life, more so her heart.
He could no longer deny the
growing attraction, his heart was already in the line. BUT, the million-dollar
question: is Allie ready to risk her heart as well? With her ex looming around
her, ready to pounce at any moment and wanting her back, threatening to take
the most important person in her life – his heart might be endangered of
getting broken.
Justin might come from a
well-off family but it doesn’t mean that his life was perfect. His parents were
too busy doing their own stuffs that he was left growing up with his nanny. He
gets into one trouble into the next to gain attention, but he never really gets
it. I love this guy, not because of his hang ups but because he needs it and
deserves to be love. It was fun watching him, probably for the first time, pant
after some girl. My heart broke when I thought his was about to be broken as
well. But it was an amazing thing when at one point he had that enlightening,
and finally decided to leave all his baggage and be a man.
This might be the second book
in the series, but good thing that this can be read as standalone. Nevertheless,
I enjoyed reading it. Two young artists, both with baggage from their pasts in
different sizes, met, fell in love – but not before fighting off the demons
from their past. The characters have indeed matured, grown up and became different
people as the novel continues. I have never seen stronger people than Justin
and Allie – they may be young but they have shown strength to face life. This
just shows that no matter how you f**ked up in the past, there is always a room
for change, and you will always have that second chance to finally have the HEA
you have always longed for.

AUTHOR BIO -
Jean Haus writes young adult and romance novels. She reads a lot too. Anything with a bit of romance has the possibility of being loaded on her Kindle. She even does a bit of cooking, which is actually quite good. She also golfs in the beautiful summers of Michigan with her awesome husband and son, but she cooks way, way better than she golfs.
