MY REVIEW -
Ivy Emerson didn’t want to go back. After high
school graduation, the first thing she did was to go as far away as possible
from the fishing village where she grew up and go to Columbia. She wanted to
make something out of herself. But not without breaking up with her boyfriend
Sawyer McCallister – the love of her life. She didn’t really believe in long
distance relationship and she wanted to make a clean break before leaving.
But now she’s back in town for her Christmas,
due to her mother’s emotional blackmail. What she didn’t expect was to run in
into her old flame who is supposed to be in another state studying premed.
In a small town with everyone knows anyone business,
mothers who play matchmakers and an old flame who can still bring spark into
her life – she was in for a very interesting holiday.
Just when she thought everything was really
perfect in Columbia, Sawyer made her realize that there is no place like home.
He would fight for her this time, and would do anything to have her believe in
them – even if it means they would be in a long distance relationship.
When two people are meant for each other, no
matter where life takes them, no matter how much the distance is and how much
time they are separated, love will bring them back together.
It’s a short, perfect read about love, home, and second chances - just in time for
the holidays.
