I don’t know how to start this review, but I’m the type of girl who isn’t really fond of cheating.
So I can’t really say I liked this novel, because I abhor Lisa. I hated that she went to Brad despite that she was with Bobby. I wished she was strong enough to just stay away, or maintain the friendship that they have. She can’t have both guys to herself – so the whole novel, I was so annoyed with her and I wished really hard that she would just choose between two men! CHOOSE! CHOOSE! CHOOSE!
Bobby – a guy whom she loved for so long, but kept on leaving her and shattering her heart on the process and…
Brad – the best friend who had been in love with Lisa forever. He was stable, he was her predictable, and he never left her: EVER.
She went from one guy to the other, and I hate watching her do it. I swear! I tried to love her somewhere along the way, I even tried to rationalize her loving two men, and well, being with two men – but no. She had two great men under her thumb, and all she had to do was to choose between them, and allow the other to move on.
My heart broke over Brad. How can she strung him?! Agrhhh! So selfish of her! He was a great guy who DESERVED MORE than what was she offering. He must have loved her THAT much for him to stay with her, and watched her pin for another man. Arghhhhhh! I felt he was so used, that he was too blind to see it.
The question is: who will she choose? Someone’s heart is going to break, someone is going to walk away unhappy, and someone will have Lisa.
It’s a bit frustrating, the kind of novel that will have you pulling your hairs out of your scalp. But nevertheless, it was an okay read. It makes me anticipate for the next novel, on who’s going to have their HEA. But I sincerely hope, no matter what, Brad is going to get his, he truly deserved it.
