| When I went to Mateland, I left a kid behind. A kid that had me thinking things that didn’t sit well with me, because she was so damn young. But when I got back, that kid had become a woman that I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
Jenna was a lucky girl
that Chipper found her, brought her to their MC Club and considered her as a
daughter when he found her. What happened with her, at a young age, was just
unthinkable. How in the world did she survive that? Even then, I really admire
her tenacity, and her courage to go through life every day after what she had
been through. And Kidd – she knew she likes him, even though all he does is
treat her like a kid sister.
Kiddrick or Kidd wanted
her – but I was sooooo glad he didn’t pursued her until she was of age. He
waited, and waited some more. And then,
he made the biggest mistake of his life just right after. Argh! It was so
frustrating, I want to run him over with a Harley. I can’t believe he broke her
heart just right after she gave her all to him.
Heartbroken, she chose to be a club whore when
it was time for her to take her place in the club. Wow. I really couldn’t
believe it. But I guess, sometimes, when you get hurt too much, and you think
you’re too broken – you just lose faith in love.
It took six long, years
for Kidd to finally step up and claim Ice as his own. Ah yes, it was fun
watching them together, bickering, wondering who will win this round. Because
unlike any old lady – she wouldn’t dare do his bidding if she didn’t like it.
She will fight tooth and nail for it. I like watching her fight for her man,
and getting no bullshit from the rest of the people in the club. So, it was
strange for me to find her running when a nightmare from the past decides to
visit her again.
It started out with my
heart aching, and breaking for the young girl Jenna, and it ended with my eyes
a little bit misty, and my heart still aching. Just as when I thought it couldn’t
have a more perfect ending, the authors surprised me with the epilogue. It was
so heartbreaking, my eyes can’t help but shed some tears. Nevertheless, it didn’t
make anything less perfect.

Dawn Martens is a young, spunky Canadian Author, who is widely known for her best-selling “Resisting Love” series that she co-authored with Author Chantel Fernando. Emily Minton is a Kentucky native. Raised in Missouri, her family returned to Kentucky when she was a teen. She is proud to call the Bluegrass State home. She claims she bleeds blue--Wildcat Blue!
Emily has been married to her husband, David, for over twenty years. They share two lovable but irritating teenagers, Jess and Bailey. She is also the proud mom of a feisty terrier mix, Rae Rae.
Emily loves to read and has more books on her kindle than most people could read in a life time, but she intends to read every single one. Nope, no hoarding problem here! Her favorite author is Kristen Ashley, and she swears Kristen’s book Sweet Dreams changed her life.
Emily has co-authored two books with Dawn Martens, Whiskey Lullaby and Renegade Lady. She has also written one solo book, Windows. Many more are floating around in her head, and she hopes to get them all on paper before long. She loves sharing her dreams with her readers.
