MY REVIEW -
Julie Marone had made her income matching couples with their dream houses. It was her gift, and there is nothing more fulfilling for her than seeing the happy faces that couples has once they have found the home for them. But matchmaking couples with their dream houses is not just her gift, she’s doing it for another reason. Once she fell so hard, and before both of them could tie the knot and settle into their home – cancer got a hold of him. It had broke her heart, and since then, she has not dated. Her sister had taken it into her own hands in finding her a date, one by one, she throws her guys to blind date.
Cody Brown is not just a typical southern cowboy with a sexy accent. He’s an ER doctor. It was his job, his responsibility and his curse. It has seems to attract every possible leech there is. Being a doctor indeed has its perks, and some women would just take advantage to climb the social ladder with him as a stepping stone.
Although Cody may have charm her into agreeing to find him a ‘new home’ despite the fact that she has a ‘couples-only’ rule. But it doesn’t mean that she’s going to fall into his arms easily. She as some issues with doctors that stems with her hospital visits and eventful doctor’s appointment when her ex-fiancé was still alive. Nevertheless, Cody will just fight his way to his heart – because he knew that this girl could be the one. Now, if only Julie will give him a chance rather than fight it.
It’s short, fun, and sweet – just in time for the holiday season. I love the characters, although Julie can be a little frustrating at times. I have been working with doctors, and I must say, you can’t generalize them all. Just like an ordinary worker – some are good, some are bad. I wished that she’d realize that before Cody would get tired of chasing her. For Cody – I like his sense of humor, and wit. He may be an ER doctor – which require a lot of skill and moving fast, but in real life, he likes to take it slow. They already make an interesting couple, even without the meddling of Julie’s family.
The Wedding Date is a story about giving a second chance on love when it failed and broke your heart the first time.

As her body chilled, her mind overheated. Her thoughts jumbled together, a montage of despair. Cody sprinting through the cold. Victims bleeding on the pavement. David sucking his last breath. The grisly images ran together, indelibly linked, engraved on her brain.
Like a fast-moving poison, panic spread through her veins. She clutched the counter like it was her sanity, watched her knuckles turn white with the strain. This was why she steered clear of doctors. They stirred up the past, stuck a knife in her pain.
She’d been doing just fine before Cody came along with his drawl and his smile. She’d made a mistake letting him get close, and she was paying for it now with angst and cold sweat.
