Addicted for Now (Addicted #2)
Release Date: 11/30/13

He's addicted to booze. She's addicted to sex...staying sober is only half the battle.

No. More. Sex.

Those are the three words Lily Calloway fears the most. But Loren Hale is determined to be with Lily without enabling her dangerous compulsions. With their new living situation—sleeping in the same bed, for real, together—Lily has new battles. Like not jumping Lo’s bones every night. Not being consumed by sex and his body.

Loren plans to stay sober, to right all of his wrongs. So when someone threatens to expose Lily’s secret to her family and the public, he promises that he’ll do anything to protect her. But with old enemies surfacing, Lo has more at stake than his sobriety.

They will torment Lily until Lo breaks.

And his worst fear isn’t relapsing. He hears the end. He sees it. The one thing that could change everything. Just three words.

No. More. Us.

New Adult Romance recommended for readers 18+ for mature content

MY REVIEW-
I was betting on co-dependency. Will the both of them make it? Lo was addicted to booze, and Lily was addicted to sex. No alcohol. No sex. How long will both of them last? The battle of wills is just beginning.

After months of being in rehab, Lo was back. Lily was afraid that she might give in to her compulsions once they are once again living together. Good thing that Lo is determined not to enable her. How long can he resist a willing girlfriend? Won’t he jump to the next available bed?

Someone is blackmailing them to expose Lily’s secret, not just to her family, but to the public. He swore that he would do everything to protect her, even asking his father for help to track the perpetrator down. Soon, old enemies resurface – I can’t imagine how many enemies did he made in the past. He must have been a total ass by then.

I underestimated these couple – I love their fighting spirit, and most especially their determination to stay sober from alcohol and sex. Temptation was just right around the corner, not to mention stress adds up the urge to just give in to their addiction. It’s good thing that they have one heck of a support system – their friends and siblings, most especially Ryke and Rose. It would have been a total task without them.

This is my first time meeting Lily and Loren. Wow. I must say – they are quite a couple. I still haven’t met a couple like them. I must admit I struggled reading this novel because it was REALLY long compared to my usual reads, but the moment I reached the ending – all of my impatience, my frustrations were worth it. Because Krista and Becca Ritchie made a beautiful ending that had me in tears…
