Book Title: Take Two
Author: Laurelin Paige
Release Date: February 4, 2014
Publisher: Samhain Publishing
He’s ready for his close up, but she’s the one calling the shots.
On the night of her graduation from film school, straight-laced Maddie Bauers fell completely out of character for an oh-my-god make-out session with a perfect stranger. Complete with the big O.
Seven years later, that romantic interlude is still fresh in her mind. That stranger is now a rich and famous actor. And she’s one very distracted camera assistant working on his latest production. She might consider another tryst…if he even remembers her.
Micah Preston does indeed remember Maddie. Too bad he’s sworn off Hollywood relationships. He allows himself as much sex as he likes—and oh, he does like—but anything more is asking for trouble. For the woman, not for him. Yet knowing Maddie could want more than a movie-set fling doesn’t stop him from pursuing her like a moth drawn to hot stage lights.
But as the shoot nears its end, it’s decision time. Is it time to call, “Cut!” on their affair, or is there enough material for a sequel?
Warning: Contains a dreamy movie star hero, a focus-pulling heroine, off-the-charts instant chemistry, steamy sex in near-public locations, and a new use for lip gloss.

excerpt-
On her graduation night, Maddie decided to
get out of her comfort zone and decided to make out with a perfect stranger. It
was so hot, I was wondering where did she got the strength to get off that
bench and leave with Bree. :D
Seven years later, with no communication, she
came face to face with the man she had a romantic interlude with. Unlike
before, this man, Micah Preston is now a rich and famous actor who is known to
be a playboy. He changes his dates more than he changes his clothes. Now, she’s
to work as a camera assistant on his latest production.
Oh he remembers her – after all, he got blue
balls that night, and the morning after, just as when he was about to give this
amazing girl a call, a once in a lifetime chance came to him. Seven years
later, their paths have crossed again and even though he wanted her, he was
very careful with his relationships, or lack of it. He doesn’t stick around, he
believes that with his type of work, a relationship would be a lot of trouble
for his part. Can he just have her for the duration of the shoot? But Maddie doesn’t
want that. She was the forever type of girl. Movie or Set fling wasn’t her cup
of tea. It didn’t stop him from continuously pursuing her though…
Now, the shoot is about to end, and it was
time for him to decide. Will he chose Maddie? Or will he allow his career to
come between them both?
It was his dream, and I understood why he has
some hesitations with regards to relationship. After all, it’s Hollywood –
there are a lot of fakes, a lot of issues, and not to mention the
sensationalism of media to break relationships apart. But this was MADDIE from
the party. Even then, when he was not famous, there were already sparks between
them! I was crossing my fingers for them, wondering if he’d be dumb enough to
let her go, or what would his GRAND GESTURE be.
As for Maddie, she’s talented, pretty, and simple. The real deal. She knew
what she was going into, and I applaud her for being brave and taking the risk –
but it was not her fault that she wanted more. Who doesn’t want that?! When she
realized that he was still confused of what to do, she decided to let go, and
yes, run away. Her feelings, her ego, her insides were hurting. The sex was
good – but when the post-coital bliss would die down, where does that leave
them? She really deserves more than just to be a secret girlfriend. Good thing
he realized that before someone else snatches her.
I’m not really fond of actors and Hollywood –
but Laurelin Paige managed to turn it around. It was sweet, sexy, funny, and
yes, had caused my eyes to mist a bit. The lip gloss incident was SUPERRRRR
HOT, and really naughty. I didn’t know Maddie had it in her. I had so much fun
reading this novel, and sorry for the late posting of the review, I know I promised
it earlier than today!!! :D Nevertheless, once I started reading it, I couldn’t
seem to stop. This couple had managed to wrap me around their little drama,
making me anticipate what would come out of it.
Take two reminds us that relationships are
about compromise, not sacrifice.
What you do is just as important as what your partners are doing.

In one swift move, he had her pressed against the wall, his mouth hovering above her own. The rough stone behind her barely registered as she licked her lips in anticipation of the kiss she knew was coming. But he didn’t lean in. Instead, he brought his finger to her cheek and caressed it softly. She shuddered at the electric pulses that followed his light touch as he traced her jawline. When he reached her chin, he lifted her face up to within an inch of his mouth. She felt his breath, hot and sweet, on her skin. And then his mouth was on hers, tugging at her bottom lip, teasing her until she eagerly drew him in, wrapping her arms around his neck.
The kiss built, each stroke varying in pressure and intensity. Soft nips evolved into frenzied exploration, their tongues dancing, plunging deeply and hungrily. She savored his taste. A rush of pleasure rippled through her and she trembled under his attentive suckling.
His mouth released hers, traveled along her jaw and down her throat, his trail of kisses searing into her skin. She clung to a fistful of his thick hair while he alternately nibbled and nuzzled her neck, stoking the fire in her core. When he raised his head to reclaim her lips, she glimpsed a greedy longing in his eyes.
author bio-
Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She's a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there's kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn't seem to complain, however. When she isn't reading or writing sexy stories, she's probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
