Coming Home by Priscilla Glenn - Blog Tour, Book Review, Giveaway

Adult Contemporary Romance
Released January 21, 2014

Leah Marino hasn’t been on a date in two years. After discovering the man she loved had manipulated and deceived her, she refuses to even entertain the idea of a relationship. Instead, she focuses her attention on taking care of her family, a role she’s assumed since the death of her mother and the one place she knows her kindness won't be taken advantage of again.

When a nostalgic trip back to her childhood home results in a chance encounter with Danny DeLuca, a smart-mouthed mechanic who’s as attractive as he is mysterious, Leah's carefully cultivated walls begin to crumble. She finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Danny, despite his unreliable behavior and mixed signals.

But Danny has a secret...

One that could shake Leah's already precarious foundation and bring her world crashing down around her. Suddenly, she's faced with an incredibly difficult decision--is she willing to risk everything for the chance at finding the love she's always wanted? Or are some obstacles just too big for the heart to overcome?

MY REVIEW-

“Will the reward worth the suffering?”

OMG!

Beautiful! Really, Really Beautiful! I just couldn’t find the heart to stop reading (despite me being late of posting this one on my site – sorry for that). Nevertheless, this is one of the most beautiful stories I have read this year so far!!!

Stop wasting time you don’t have…

What’s with all the time issues and I-can’t-be-with-you, I-don’t-deserve-you-drama?! The first thing that came into my mind – WTF – is Danny dying?! I didn’t want to read a book whose character I have been rooting for all along will just be buried six feet below the ground!!! So, I kept reading, and reading, wondering what his secret is, wondering what he has been hiding all along… and then when I was finally enlightened, there’s goes my WTF again. COMPLICATED. TOTALLY.

But this girl – Leah, she’s pretty much amazing! She might started out a little bit emotional, lost and distraught, yet faced with all the challenges life and her new relationship, she was a very, very strong and brave woman. She had hesitations (like a normal person would do I’m sure), but she didn’t give up on Danny, and on their relationship. She didn’t let her sordid past stop her from loving again, and taking risks with Danny. Even though he was adamant on starting a relationship with her – it didn’t deter her. She could have bailed on him, she could have run the opposite direction when he had given the go signal, but she didn’t. Instead, she waited, believed in their love, and trusted in their relationship. Despite all the circumstances surrounding them, she knew he’d be worth it.

Coming Home wasn’t what I expected, it was SO MUCH MORE. I didn’t expect to love it more than just the cover. It has a very beautiful front, but the inside just made me speechless. Here are two incredible characters who had experienced pain in their past, and one had an uncertain future – they have met, fell in love, experienced a very tough time together, and somehow made it through. I cried, my heart ached so much, and when I finally reached the epilogue, I think I expelled the biggest sigh from my lips the whole night.

I think Ms. Glenn broke my heart first before she gently placed something in there to lighten up the blow. Until now, despite the happy ending I seriously craved, and prayed, and wished – I think my heart hasn’t recovered yet. I can still feel the after-effect of someone twisting and crushing it. BUT, again, the reward was worth the suffering. THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY A #MUSTREAD.
