Evan James and Madison Grey had a perfect love story. They were an item since they were in high school and all throughout in college. His words had caught her, but it was his music that drove them apart.

Maddy had already moved on, she already had a boyfriend, when all of a sudden, her ex boyfriend, the one who had crushed her heart came inside a café where they were and sang her song. Evan was the only one she ever loved, the only one who can make her inside turn into knots, and the man who has the power to shatter her heart. And he did, now here he is – wanting her back into his life with the subtle push from their friends.

Evan made a mistake when he left her. He knew that and everyday he wished he didn’t do it. But he was high on his fame, and he thought she loved him enough to go with the flow, but missed appointments, forgotten phonecalls was enough to drive Maddie away from him. Still it took him by surprise when he asked her to go on tour with him and she said no. Three years later, on an open mic in one café – he spotted her sitting in the audience. And this time, he would make it sure she’ll never get away from him.

This was their love story getting a second chance, and indeed – it was much sweeter, much hotter now that they are back together again. But, it all came crashing down one day when Maddy discovered something. Will she give Evan the chance to explain? Or will she let him go for good?

I love Luke and Genna, especially this girl who is a really great friend and is not afraid to call on your BS. She’s a big help in putting some senses into Maddy and Evan to finally give their love a second chance.

The song was divine, the characters were pretty much interesting starting from Evan down to Genna, who’s mouth gave me quite a laugh, the pacing of the story was just great and never a drag – thank goodness. Without You is a story about love and second chances. It’s a short sweet story that can melt your hearts and make you want to fall in love, and perhaps give old love a chance.

"Oh, Madison Grey. My life has been so dark without you. You light up my soul like no one else has. No song, no melody is the same without you. Give me the chance to be alive again."
