to work backstage and help her sister with her training. But when an eager
friend drags her to a party near the Olympic Village – she caught the attention
of a sexy Norwegian ski jumper. With a little booze, inhibitions were dropped,
and an amazing night followed. But the next morning, she couldn’t find her Viking.

wasn’t really expecting any medal. He just wants to help the team on their
standing. But after one remarkable night, his luck might have changed – during the
final training session, he did well enough to have a possible space in the
podium.
What I like
about this story, more than the SUPER HOT SEX is the fact that the responsible
sister is going to have her share of fun thanks to the Viking who’s showing her
more than just the Olympic village. After what happened to her mother, and the
way she has taken care of her sister, she deserves some breath of fresh air.
In Trouble With Gold – I laughed out much
here. The US Snowboarders are naughty guys who have a lot of pranks in store
for several athletes. Ty was given a dose of his own medicine when his
teammates shackle him into a fence on a very cold snowy night wearing only his
boxers – until Nadia, a volunteer, had saved his balls from literally turning
blue.
Nadia was a
professional – she was focused, and career driven. All she wanted was a job in
the Olympics Committee Headquarters, and this volunteer job would help her land
it. It didn’t help when she was ordered to babysit the US Snowboarding team.
I loved Ty and
the rest of the US Snowboarders. They are fun, but when it comes to their sport
– they are a serious bunch. I like how patient Ty was in thawing Nadia. He knew
he wanted her the first time he saved her. But it would take a whole lot of
hard work before he gets the girl.
In The Girl Behind the Gold we met Greek
aerial skier Lia. She might be good, she might have the biggest chance to win
the gold – but she lacks sponsorship. She wasn’t like much by the press because
of her no-nonsense attitude. She wasn’t fun, she wasn’t approachable – and that
poses a lot of problems especially when her family needed a lot of money to
survive.
Brandon James’
needed to find a story for his magazine. He was a charmer through and through –
which gains him an entrance to an invite-only party. But the story he wanted to
do was nowhere to be found until he meets Lia.
She needed the
sponsorship, he needed a story – both of them strike a deal, until a secret was
found. Suddenly, Lia wasn’t so sure about him at all… I love her – she was feisty,
and she knows how to get even. But Brandon didn’t falter – he showed her that
he really cares for her.
In Ice Gold we meet Colton and Brenna whose
antics had made me laugh as well. He really knows how to get her attention, and
she knows how to get into his nerves as well. He was the next big thing in
hockey, and she was assigned to take his photos.
But one wrong
move from Brenna had almost lost Colton his career. She owes him, too bad
Colton wants MORE than just apology. It was a battle of wits for these two
people, they are strong-willed and stubborn. Will Brenna be strong enough to
fight the temptation off? Or will she give in?
I was treated to a great romance
anthology this afternoon. Out of the four, I couldn’t pick a favorite. They were
all sweet, fast-paced, swoon-worthy, sexy, steamy love stories that will fill
your senses with heat despite the cold weather and make you fall in love.
It’s different stories with one common
denominator – the Olympics. How some athletes find not only luck, nor the
coveted medal in their quest for Gold – but they can also find love.
Aria Kane is a recovering mechanical engineer
and romance writer. As a military brat, she grew up all over the country, but
now lives in sunny Florida with a 60 lb mutt who thinks he's a chihuahua.
Kara Leigh Miller
Born and
raised in the small town of Mexico, New York, Kara was an only child who was
forced to find ways to entertain herself. Playing make believe with her Barbie
dolls and stuffed animals was her first real taste of storytelling before she
became old enough to develop a love affair with the written word.
In early
2010, Kara picked up her very first romance novel, and she was instantly
hooked. She loves to write contemporary romance, new adult, and young adult
romance. Currently she has several full-length novels in the works, a series of
novellas, and a handful of short stories. Kara is an active member of the CNY
Creative Writers Café and the CNY Romance Writers.
Today, Kara
resides in New Haven, New York with her husband, five kids, and three cats.
When she's not reading or writing, she's thinking about reading and writing.
And when she's not doing that, she's spending time with her family and friends.
Recently, Kara has taken on the position of Managing Editor for the Surge Imprint at Anaiah Press, LLC -- a Christian fiction press. She's working exclusively in the young adult and new adult line.
