MY REVIEW -
The first time Melissa appeared in the novel – I was wondering what her story is. Why does she need this vacation? It felt like an escape, a much-needed time for her to compose herself. Things might have happened that overwhelmed her, and the only way to maintain her sanity was to run away. But when Melissa caught Derek eyes from across the bar – sparks flew, sexual tension freezes the bar, and she found herself in his arms. No one had made her feel this way, no one ever treated her like the way he does, but no matter how magical things might be for the both of them – she could not hold on to it, neither could he. They agreed to a one-week fling.
Derek Alexander is one of those Alpha males you wish you would have in bed. Oh yes, he rendered Melissa (and me) senseless with his kisses and caress. They were trapped in a whirlwind of bliss – but what happens after the week?
When they did their goodbye, and was back in their own separate lives, reality sets in. I wish I was back in Arizona – where everything was fine, and they were engulfed in a mutual unadulterated pleasure. Because reality – it sucks and would hit them big time. Melissa has her own demons to fight, and release herself from, and Derek has kept a secret that would ruin their memorable week together. Would they meet again and rekindle the burning flame they once had or will reality destroy the both of them?
The story will capture you from the right from the start down to the end. I have read this in one sitting and kept going, and going until I finally clicked to the last page. It had me in knots: confused, hopeful, in love, in-tears. How can this short novel offer these much emotions? Tia Louise sure knows how to build up anticipation, then surprise you with a twist that you never knew coming. For a debut novel, this book is a great short-read.

AUTHOR BIO -
Tia Louise is a former journalist, world-traveler, and collector of beautiful men (who inspire ALL of her stories... *wink*)---turned wife, mommy, and novelist.
It's possible she has a slight truffle addiction. And she will never look at a family restroom the same way again.
ONE TO HOLD is her debut adult romance.
