MY REVIEW -
And here I thought MAGIC MIKE was hot – wait until you meet Jack the Stripper!!!!

The Princess and The Pauper.
Meet Alana Remington.
She grew up rich, with father as a judge and is on her way to law school. She’s the ultimate princess. She’s beautiful, smart, a little bit stiff, but when she love – she would give it her 100%, she would never leave his side in his bleakest moments and she would still be there for him no matter what. Five years ago, Alana fell in love with Ryan Pierce, but after she gave her heart, along with her virginity, he left her – without saying goodbye. She was in for a big surprise at their unexpected reunion –she finds him in a place she least expected: dancing in one of the hottest strip club as Jack the Stripper!

Ryan Pierce never stopped loving her – so when fate finally gives them a second chance, he grabbed it with open arms, held it tightly and doesn’t have the plans of letting her go. He had barely survived the past five years without her, he’s not going to do that anymore. I haven’t seen an intense determination and fighting spirit from anyone than what I have seen with Ryan. He was forward, makes no nonsense and straight to the point. He wanted her, and he will have her – if she wants him too.

But can the pauper lands himself a princess or will he end up on his ass??
Theirs wasn’t your ordinary love story – there was so much to reconsider. Alana’s father might cut her off once he knew of their relationship, and she couldn’t afford law school. Ryan, on the other hand, wanted to start his own graphic arts company but he needed money first. He needed to keep his job. They kept their relationship low key, mostly a secret.

I understand Alana’s apprehension in getting into a relationship with Ryan – in fairness to her she wasn’t a snob, she just couldn’t stand sharing him with half of the female population in New York. But at least, she introduced him to people who matters a lot to her – her uncle and his family. They knew of his job, but just like Alana they didn’t care, as long as he loves her. And loves her, he did – with all his heart, with all intense passion.

But when the past came back to haunt them – everything changed. He was going to lose her – but Alana wouldn’t allow it. She was going to fight for him – even risk going to her father to beg him for help. I haven’t seen Alana more desperate, more courageous than what happened in her father’s chamber – it was one of my favorite scenes. Her, finally fighting for him. But what had my heart is when her father finally showed some emotion – it was a sight to behold.

Marrisa Carmel has a way with words that will make you swoon and bite your lips. Sweet, sexy, and hot – I can’t seem to find a lukewarm page somewhere in between. She offers her readers not only the ultimate strip club experience, but as well as the ride of their lives, as two different people who are so wrong for each other strengthened by a love so strong – it withstand every single tornado fate has sent their way.

What makes Strip Me Bare a great read? It portrays love as tragic, as painful, as wonderful and as real as it ever gets. I was expecting something in the end, some things to change – although it did, but not what I expected. Nevertheless, I wasn’t disappointed because the ending felt just right.
