Throwing Heat by Jennifer Seasons - Book Tour, Book Review, Giveaway

Throwing Heat
Diamonds and Dugouts #3
By: Jennifer Seasons

Nightclub manager Leslie Cutter has never been one to back down from a bet. So when Peter Kowalskin, pitcher for the Denver Rush baseball team, bets her that she can’t keep her hands off of him, she’s not about to let the arrogant, sexy playboy win. Especially when the prize could put her business on the map. She’s got this in the bag, just so long as she can stay out of his arms…and his bed.
Peter struck out once before with Leslie, but this bet is sure to be the second chance he’s been waiting for. Determined to stoke the passion he knows is there, he’ll do anything to win - even if it means playing a little dirty.
But as things heat up, this combustible pair will have to decide just how much they’re willing to wager on one another…and on a future that just might last forever.

Jennifer Season’s didn’t wait for the first chapter – she had it from the prologue. It was steamy, sexy and a little heartbreaking. Enough to keep me going and going, until oh – it was the final page already.

Here are two characters that you will learn to love from the first page – Leslie and Peter. Nightclub manager Leslie Cutter has a bad history when it comes to trusting men and relationships. But it didn’t stopped her from betting with Peter Kowalskin – the hot pitcher for the Denver Rush baseball team – her brother’s best friend. The bet? She has to keep her hands off him for a certain amount of time, in the end she gets what she wanted the most: her future. She can almost taste her victory, now if there was only a way to fight off this crazy temptation every time he’s near.

That night in Miami had left Peter some sleepless night, and he wanted it to happen again. Only this time, it would end differently for both of them. This was the second chance he’s been eagerly waiting for. The chemistry, and the passion was still there, he just knew it. He knows this game, but he’s not afraid to play a little dirty to secure his triumph.

But things happen – it might have started with a bet, but their hearts were not safe anymore. Leslie was finally willing to give it a shot – but the question is, will he? Will all these be just a bet to him??

After reading Playing the Field, I was sooooo excited to read Leslie and Peter’s story – even then I could already feel the chemistry, the sexual tension that is radiating between the two. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! I had so much fun reading these two throw innuendoes, tease and falling in love with each other. The tension was getting thicker and thicker – it was a bomb waiting to explode and I was sitting there, reading, anticipating – waiting for it all to happen. This was a fun, light, and sweet read, a great story about love, and second chances.
