We're going home today as a family. My family. Our family.
This is one big epilogue I got from Ms.
Melissa Collins.
The blurb had gotten into me. Yes, we had
what we wanted from Maddy and Reid – they already had their HEA (thank
goodness). So the million-dollar question comes up – WHAT NOW?! What could
probably happen after their happily ever after? Will someone come between them?
Will their honeymoon stage be over? A lot of question flooded inside my
over-imaginative brain – and I knew I needed to read this book.
We already knew what this couple had been
through, and no one wants to go back in there. Set a day after they finally
become official parents – the true responsibility has begun. From setting up
car seats, feeding the baby, cleaning him up, putting him to sleep – all those
sleepless, exhausted nights, being parents is indeed hard work.
Despite their age, they have managed pretty
well. It wasn’t a walk in the beach, of course. But their love for each other,
and most especially Reid’s patience for Maddy had work wonders in their
relationship. He did well as a dad, and as a husband. He was supportive,
caring, and very hands-on. He’s not even afraid to change diapers! He’s not
only a good husband, but he’s a responsible man as well. He loved his job
helping other people.
But of course, let us also give credit to
their support system – Momma, Mel and Bryan who were there with them every step
of the way. Now, Maddy has finally her own family. The bad memories from her
past are almost gone…
This is not all, we also get a glimpse of
Dylan, Lizzie and Cane who put a little spice into this novel. In between
stories about parenthood, is another interesting story I hope I will have a
longer version of. Lizzie and Cane had been interesting characters with their
own set of problems. Reid and Dylan had been the people who have helped them
get through with it.
This one is short, hot and sweet. I totally
loved every single page of it. If you think you have fallen in love with the
single Reid, wait until you meet Daddy Reid. You will totally go gaga over him.
Love Series gets so much better and better each time I get to have it reviewed.
Melissa Collins had gone a long way since writing her first book.
I’ve always been an avid reader. Majoring in English Literature was a no brainer. Becoming a teacher and instilling my love for reading into my students was also a no brainer. I’ve spent the last ten years teaching and I’ve loved (mostly) every minute of it. When I was home on maternity leave for my third son, I discovered a new genre that sparked my creativity. My passion for writing sprang from my love of reading and once I knew I had a story to tell, I couldn’t wait to get it out there. I only hope that my readers enjoy reading my story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
