Without Doubt by CJ Azevedo - Blog Tour, Book Review, Giveaway

Ava Sterling is tough and the most straight laced girl you will ever meet. Her family and her past have managed to alter her future permanently and she has no desire to allow anyone else into her life or her heart for fear of rejection or further altering. Ava is alone in the world with the exception of the grandest responsibility she did not create on her own but on her own she will carry for the rest of her life.

Declan James is a MMA fighter, party all night kind of guy. Responsibility is nowhere to be found in his life or so he allows everyone around him to believe. Coming from wealth and a carefree lifestyle, Declan gets what he wants, always. And what he wants is Ava. In his pursuit of getting what he wants, Ava in his bed, his plan changes quickly without his consent. Against his plans of being the next hot bachelor to cross the tabloids as he makes his way to being the Ultimate Light Heavyweight Champion, Declan falls in love. He falls in love without hesitation and without doubt.

Neither Declan nor Ava are aware that fate has inconveniently intertwined their lives forever. Will they be able to survive the aftermath of the truth?

Meet Ava Sterling – she’s beautiful, tough and no time to play silly games. She doesn’t date because her time is fully consumed by her secret. Her family and her past had managed to completely modify her plans for her future. To save herself from further heartbreaks and for more life-altering events in her life – she doesn’t allow anyone else into her life. Ava was all alone, except for one person whom she considered her world.

But her heart didn’t prepare her for Declan James, an alpha male, MMA fighter, party boy, total swoon-worthy type of guy. He was born with a silver spoon on his mouth, responsibility was not really his forte. He is used to a carefree lifestyle. He always GETS what he wants, and for now – he wanted AVA. What he didn’t expect while he pursues her was to fall in love. It wasn’t in the plan, it wasn’t in the deal. He fell – deep, and intense.

When they finally got together – it was one big explosion. He was really an alpha male – possessive, jealous (not in a creepy scary way!), but still sweet. She won’t take any b***s**t from him. She tells him as she sees it. I had fun moments watching them banter, and watching Declan blush because Ava can’t keep her mouth shut.

I thought the only secret there is in this book was that of Ava – but I was in for a surprise when another skeleton came out of the closet. The author left some clues, but I was hoping I WAS WRONG. I just had the feeling that it would put their newly found relationship in jeopardy…

You ever got this feeling that you understand where her actions are coming from, but you are still frustrated because she can’t see someone else’s reasons but hers. This is what exactly AVA made me feel when the bigger secret went out in the open. Declan had loved her immensely, but she seemed not to trust his love would last forever. I wanted for someone from the book to slap some senses into her. I was getting hopeless when she FINALLY saw reason, she finally trusted him, and she finally came home.

I like this novel, especially the two main characters who are far from dull. From the start to the end of the page, they had me on their palms – I was patiently (trying) waiting on how they would finally get to their happy ending. Nevertheless, after the heart-stopping, near-frustrating chapter, I was rewarded with a fun, light, and much needed happy ending.

Without Doubt is my first CJ Azevedo read, and after reading this, I must admit, I look forward for other books by this author.

CJ has lived all over the state of California, Central, South, North and finally landing back somewhere in the middle. She married the boy she fell for when she was only eleven years old and together they have two beautiful heathens. CJ obviously loves to read and write. She can watch the Giant’s play baseball but hates football. She bakes when she’s sad, runs when she’s mad and dances when she’s happy (even if she cant find a rhythm to save her life) If you’re looking for her and can’t seem to find her, look on the staircase, it’s her favorite spot to read.
