Knowing Jack by Rachel Curtis - Blog Tour, Book Review, Giveaway

Released January 17, 2014

I am not a slut, although I’ve been called one often enough. Yeah, I spent three months screwing one of my college professors, but I was crazy about the guy. Then he broke up with me.

I am not a bitch, although people like to say I am. I kept our relationship secret. I’m not responsible for telling the university administrators about it, but a lot of students still blame me for getting their favorite professor fired.

I am not a drama queen, although everyone thinks I am now. When I got a few nasty messages, I just deleted them. When I got the threat, I assumed it was someone being stupid. I still think that’s all it was. My parents worry, though, so they hired me a bodyguard. Now Jack follows me around, intimidating everyone who approaches me and looking obnoxiously hot.

This is what I am. I’m Chloe. I’m a twenty-year-old art history major. Kind of shy, although I pretend not to be. Stubborn enough to stay here for my senior year, even though everyone hates me.

And I’m stuck with Jack.

He calls me “Princess,” but I’m not a princess either.

I was torn between hating her, pitying her or applauding her. Chloe had made some pretty big error in her judgment and she’s now paying for it big time. She screwed one of her professors – someone everyone liked and got him fired for it. Don’t get her wrong – she was head over hills with the man, but then he broke up with her. Now, she was being ostracized and bullied at school. On top of it, she had received threats which prompted her parents to hire a body guard.

She pretty much ignore the people around her, minded her own business, but once her doors are closed – she allowed herself to cry as well. It’s a heavy burden to be alone, suffer all the repercussions of your decisions and put on a brave façade to face the consequences of your actions. If she were a lesser girl – she would have transferred far, far away from her school. But instead, she still enrolled here. I don’t know if she’s really brave or a masochist at that…

Then there’s Jack – he’s hot, sexy, and he’s her body guard. He was hired to protect her and follow her around. He annoys her most of the times. He intimidates everyone who comes near her. He will do anything to keep her safe. BUT it doesn’t deny the fact that he is one hell of a hottie. Problem is – he had already been there before. This was the second chance his father gave him, and if he screws this up again, he’d be fired. So, he did everything to stop the attraction he felt for his princess… He can be sweet at times, exasperating the next…

Knowing Jack would give you heart palpitations with its steamy, sexy scenes. They were crossing a dangerous line, both with something at risk for doing so. It took some inner battles, but they still gave in to the attraction and the intense sexual tension that has been hovering above their heads for ages. There were some surprises I didn’t see coming, and some unforeseen enemies I didn’t expect. I enjoyed reading this, swooning, panting, and eager to see what will happen to both characters.
