Ex marine and bad boy, Mark Moretti, made a pact with his childhood friends to live life to the fullest and never allow a woman to tie him down. After years of success and the world at his feet, he is determined to make that pact a reality. A move back to his beloved Los Angeles threatens to change the future he had written for himself when the shy and beautiful, Sophie Barringer, ends up being the Maid of Honor at his sister's wedding. Sophie has been burned at love. The last thing she needs is a self proclaimed bachelor to turn her head. But her heart may have other plans. Forced to spend a week together in paradise, can they deny their steamy chemistry and stay away from each other or will they give in to lust and take the chance? Can Mark get over his player reputation to take a shot at love or will fate be cruel enough to deny them their happily ever after?

There were so many bachelors in this novel, my heart is no longer accepting applicants.

Our first bachelor is an ex-marine, man-whore, total bad boy, Mark Moretti. He chose to live his life like he wanted it and it includes sleeping with anyone who wears a skirt. But everything changed when he bumped into the shy and beautiful Sophie Barringer who's luckily the Maid of Honor at his sister's wedding.

But Sophie had her heart broken before. An ex-boyfriend who have broken her trust and left her shattered after moving in with him. Molly was there to save her. She and Molly became great friends. How can she say no when she was invited to the wedding and was asked to be her MOH? What she didn't expect is to find the handsome man she just met at the supermarket. Oh, she didn't want to fall in love, especially with a self-proclaimed bachelor and who was honest enough to tell her so. Yet, the heart has a mind of its own.

During the pre-wedding party, they can no longer deny their chemistry. Sophie is willing to give in into lust and sent the week in paradise with him. But what happens when they come back to reality?

I enjoyed reading it, the novel wasn't that long and I had it finished in a day. The chemistry was undeniable, there was enough tension in the island knowing that Mark may have a competition with Sophie. So either he makes his move, or he will leave alone and let the 'competition' have her. Good thing he came to his senses and gave in to his desires. Yes, he did have some difficult time weighing his options, knowing that he was not into messy relationships, and Sophie, after all, was her sister's friend. But will a week ever be enough for him to have her?

More than those hot steamy scene (especially the one at the water which had me drooling!!!), the pacing was just perfect, it wasn't a drag - which I totally love. I like how these two finally realized how they perfect they are for each other - although there were times that they needed a little (or one big) knock in the head for being stubborn. I wish they could talk it out themselves rather than having other people involve - because that is what making relationships crumble - OTHER PEOPLE. Some may have your interest in their hearts but it may not be the BEST one for you.

(START *rant*)Nevertheless - I love every single character in this novel except for one: guess who? Oh yes, of course it's the sister. Geez, what was wrong with her - and of course with Mark at this point in the story?!!! Surprises are great, but you have to learn up to which extent would you keep that secret. And of course, it's okay to warn other people when their partners fool around - but YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE REAL STORY before you go around and tell the tale. YOU ARE BREAKING PEOPLE UP!!! This was one part that I'd like to beat characters up for being frustrating and annoying.

And well, trust is important. You may have your heart shattered in the past and have your trust broken in the process, but it doesn't mean the new love of your life will do the same thing. He may also have a past (skirt-chasing and all), but before you jump into any conclusions - it is best to TALK IT OUT. Sometimes, even the best relationships are destroyed with assumptions and miscommunication. (END of *rant*)

I'm looking forward for Ryan's story - because apparently he's next. Although I wish, I would get a glimpse on Rich's and Molly's story too!! Pretty please???

"Sophie," his breathing was erratic. Her eyes met his and she melted. She wrapped her arms around him and ground into his erection. His eyes snapped shut. "Oh God Sophie. What are you doing?"

"Look at me, Mark." She panted. He opened his eyes and met hers. "Touch me. Please touch me." She ground against him a few more times.

His vision went blurry. He pushed her bathing suit bottoms over and ran his fingers through her folds. Even in the water, he could tell she was soaking wet.

He moaned. "Holy shit, you are so wet. I am not going to be able to stop this Soph because I can't. No Sex. We can't You deserve more than this." His words were strained and breathless.

She leaned forward and sucked the salty water off his chest and licked up his neck. "I won't regret this. I want you so bad." She smiled with her eyes half closed."Touch me."

Mark shoved a finger into her core and flicked the pad of his thumb against her swollen clit. She threw her head back and moaned. A second finger and a secod flick and her head crashed against his chest panting. "Don't stop." His fingers furiously pounded into her as she tried again to untie his shorts. The knot loosened and she slipped his shorts down on his hips. His thumb continued to circle her clit and she behan nibbling at his neck. "Come for me baby. Let it go."
