Blog Tour, Book Review, Giveaway | Collateral Damage by Elisabeth Grace

Now trending

Hollywood It Girl, Francesca Leon, has just landed the biggest role of her career…one that could clinch an Oscar nomination and open doors. If she’s going to move her career to the next level and work with top directors, she has to nail this part — and keep her sexy, but unreliable leading man from screwing everything up.

Team Calder

Bad boy Calder Fox is the son of Hollywood royalty and fresh out of rehab after his best friend’s death sent him on a downward spiral of drugs and alcohol. While his fans still love him and the paparazzi stalk him, he’s never taken life, or anything about his career, seriously. He may be charming and drop-dead gorgeous, but if he doesn’t stay sober, he could ruin Frankie’s future and expose her long-hidden family secret to the voracious media.

Behind the scenes

Things heat up during filming and have the potential to become hotter, deeper, and much more real. But can Frankie trust Calder with her secret? Or is he doomed to sabotage his own happiness yet again?

LONGER REVIEW:
Frankie Leon’s career is about to take off. She is now considered the new Hollywood It-girl. After starring on several indie films, she was now off to the big-screen with an Oscar-worthy screen play. It would move her career into greater heights working with topnotch directors and actors.
Problem is, Hollywood bad-boy and newly-reformed Calder Fox will be her leading man - for a big career-changing project this poses to be a big problem for her. But Calder was more than what the eyes meet. Because despite his past, despite what the press says about him, Frankie says a different side of him that poses a threat into her heart.
He’s charming, sober, and was on the way into changing his life for the better? But his past is so less than stellar. The moment he lost his friend had been the turning point of his life, but he had not yet forgiven himself for it. I admire his determination of remaining sober. Of course, there were a lot of temptation, and curve roads along the way – it was hard, it was painful, it was heartbreaking, but he survived. She was a big help. She was willing to do about just anything for him. In return, she trusted him with her deepest, most-kept secret.
Frankie has a big, big heart and sees everything nice in people. She initially doubted him, hated him, see him as trouble. The more she gets to know him, the closer they get.  Question is: can he stay sober? Can he finally forgive himself and allow himself to be happy?
The story of change, of hope, of love, and of the second chance in life will just get to you. This is one of my must-read books this 2015 so far. I loved the intensity of emotions the moment I started reading it. Elisabeth Grace had caught my attention right from the first page, it stayed with the book until I reach the epilogue. This is something that will hook you, get you addicted, make you cry a little, and of course, get you to fall in love.
