Blurb

Four guys.

Constant moaning.

And a revolving door across the college suite I somehow ended up in because my first name is Shawn.

They don't discriminate. Girls. Guys. Grandmas. Plants (okay maybe not plants) all walks of life stroll in stressed to the brim, and leave so satisfied I'm wondering what sort of talents lie behind that door.

My roommate calls them the pleasure ponies.

But the rest of the college campus?

They just call them the new face of Wingmen Inc. A paid for relationship service that makes big promises.

Breakup? They'll glue you back together again.

Depressed? They have the magic pill.

Lonely? Just spend a few minutes while they rub you down and you'll forget all about it.

And broken hearts? Well, that's their specialty. They'll fix you.

For a price…

I swore I wouldn't get involved.

But apparently they like a challenge, and a girl who doesn't put up with their BS is basically like waving a red flag in front of a bull.

They. All. Charged.

But one holds my attention above the rest.

Knox Turner looks like a Viking — and getting pillaged is starting to look more appealing by the day. Though he's hiding something — all of them are. And the closer I get. The more I realize that some things are left better in the past.

You've read reverse harem books before — but you've never read one like this. It's not what you think, or is it? Dive in and find out…

Knox, Leo, Finn, and Slater are waiting, and they aren't patient men.

Welcome to the new face of Wingmen Inc — You're welcome.

The first time you meet someone, you make eye contact. You smile, say hello. Should be simple, if you’re anyone but me. The first time I met Dylan Reed, I found myself making eye contact with a different part of his body. You see, I’m very good at being shy, not to mention extremely well-versed in rambling nonsense and, unfortunately, rather highly skilled at making a fool of myself in front of a guy I’m attracted to.

At the time, I knew nothing about him and thought none of what I said would matter since I’d never speak to him again. Turns out, I was very wrong. He was the star wide receiver of the football team, one of the few players expected to make it into the NFL, and I ended up seeing him all over campus.
I might have also propositioned him, run away from him, attacked him with a cooking utensil…and…uh, maybe I shouldn’t tell you all of it. It’s pretty normal stuff, things you’d expect…from me. Eventually, the time came when I couldn’t hide anymore—not that he’d have let me even if I tried.
Before now, he never knew I was secretly watching him. Now that we see each other every day, he knows when I have a hard time looking away. It doesn’t help that I’m not the most subtle person in the world either.

He smiles at me and tells me he finds me fascinating because of my quirks. I can’t even tell him that I think my heart beats differently whenever he’s around.

He thinks we’re going to be best friends. I think I have a big thing for him, and the more I get to know him, the more I don’t care that I’m not allowed to be his friend, let alone fall for him.

The thing is, that’s exactly what I’m doing—what we’re doing, I think.

Falling.

Hard.

BOOK REVIEW

Rating:5/5

I fell for this book. HARD. Like really hard.

Zoe and Dylan are pretty much great characters. Their first meeting was off the charts. Our shy girl Zoe met Dylan Reed, and she didn’t expect to see the rest of him. It was memorable, funny at best, embarrassing at its worst - but things didn’t go as expected and it wasn’t the right time. She didn’t expect who he was, what he was in campus. It was okay when she knew, because there was no way their paths are going to cross again. Until they met the second time. Second time was bad timing again.

“Third time is the charm, so maybe next time we’ll make it happen.”

The third time they met, she hit him with a cooking utensil. But then good things starts to happen. She couldn’t run away or hide from him anymore. Before she knew it, she was discretely watching him. And he knows it.

“I like having your eyes on me, Zoe.”
I managed to force a nervous smile. His thumb moved on my cheek, rendering me… basically completely helpless.
Forgetting myself, forgetting where we were, I whispered, “I like watching you.”

If only Zoe’s life isn’t laced with secrets and lies. It would have been easy. But things are just complicated, and Zoe can’t do anything about it. Or maybe she could. She deserves the best anyway. Question is, is she brave enough?

I am totally head over heels over these two characters. Zoe and Dylan are the best! Dylan is ever charming, not your typical jock, he helps his family when he could and he doesn’t fool around. He can be a little alpha, but not too much that will make you roll your eyes.

Zoe gives a new meaning to word-vomit. I like her. Maybe some of us (like me) can relate to her. When she’s nervous, she tends to ramble, and its adorable. But sometimes, it tires the heck out of you to listen to her, and you just want to shut her up. So its a love-hate relationship. Nevertheless, Zoe will win you over when you get to know her and what she had been through. She’s a brave girl who was willing to do anything for the sake of family. Did I tell you she'd die for pizza?

The first part of the book, I was laughing out loud - it was already hilarious and I was expecting the rest to be great as well. Ella Maise delivered marvelously. The Hardest Fall is a slow burn romance. It will make you wait. Make you anticipate. Make you crave. Then gives you the best in the end. There are surprises that you can guess along the way, and there are those that will still make your jaws drop.

It was a whole lot of feels - you’ll laugh, you’ll smile, you’ll get irritated, you’ll hate you’ll feel embarrassed, you’ll cry, you’ll feel sad, you’ll feel jealous, you’ll feel suspicious, you’ll break your heart and you’ll fall in love.

Book Review

Rating: 4/5

Their banter is the ultimate foreplay. Mya and Milo may not be friends at work, but the two of them shares the kind of chemistry that could ignite the room. Milo didn’t know what happened while Mya suddenly hated him, and Mya was sure that Milo did what she thought he did. Nevertheless when a chance to work together came up for the agency, they have to put aside they differences and try to work together peacefully. A truce. But Milo saw a chance.

And soon, their chemistry exploded and they ended up in between the sheets. Yay. Then, just as when everything is progressing, something happened again. Mya thinks Milo betrayed her. Will Milo ever redeem himself?

Beg Me was fun (especially the banter), love both characters: a strong female lead and a charming male and not to mention steamy. It’s the perfect combination!

REVIEW
Rating: 5/5

Emma Scott truly knows how to write romance no matter what the time frame is. I love ONE GOOD MAN. Janey Martin, a California college student was just sent off to Paris by her father after getting herself into trouble covering riots. She was sent to get away from all the chaos back home.

Janey wants to prove herself in a male-dominated world of Journalism. However, her first assignment is to interview the hotshot forward of a local soccer team. Janey was pretty sure that Adrien is like any other jock she met back then, but the more she gets to know him, the more he has proven her wrong.

Adrien is what not I expected. He was so much more, and he had proven himself again and again. He’s selfless and just plain wonderful. Janey, and his family are lucky to have him.

ONE GOOD MAN is short, but everything felt right and complete. It will make you smile, and make your hearts hurt and make you fall in love. I enjoyed reading it - the needed twist and turns and the all the feels.

EXCERPT
I reached over and pushed ‘stop’ on Janey’s tape recorder and turned to her. “Saturday then?”
She coughed in surprise.  “What happens Saturday?”
“We conclude the interview. You need to see a football match firsthand or your article is going to sound like a bunch of amateurish gibberish. You want to be taken seriously?”
She pressed her lips together for a moment. “Yes.”
“So do I. Saturday at noon at Stade Jean-Marc. We’ll finish the interview after.”
“Antoine wants the article in two days,” she said.
“Tell Antoine I said to wait.”
She took another long pull from the lemonade, her pride not letting her say yes to me so quickly.
Saturday then,” she said. “For the article.”
“Right,” I said, holding her gaze. “For the article.”
She finished off the lemonade and set the glass down. “Thank you very much, Sophie. It was just what I needed.” She gathered her belongings and turned to me. “See you.”
“You have a drop of lemonade on your chin,” I said.
“Where?” Her hand flew to her mouth. “No, I don’t…”
I held out the cocktail napkin with my sketch of her, my brow raised.
Janey dropped her hand from her dry chin, fuming. I expected her to flounce away. But she snatched the napkin out of my hand, dropped it into her bag, and coolly walked away.
I wasn’t in love with her, but in that moment, I knew someday I would be.

Book Review | Such Dark Things by Courtney Evan Tate (@Court_Writes)

A HORRIFIC RECURRING NIGHTMARE IS THREATENING TO STEAL HER SANITY…

Dr. Corinne Cabot is living the American dream. She’s a successful ER physician in Chicago who’s married to a handsome husband. Together they live in a charming house in the suburbs. But appearances can be deceiving—and what no one can see is Corinne’s dark past. Troubling gaps in her memory mean she recalls little about a haunting event in her life years ago that changed everything.
She remembers only being in the house the night two people were found murdered. Her father was there, too. Now her father is in prison; she hasn’t been in contact in years. Repressing that terrifying memory has caused Corinne moments of paranoia and panic. Sometimes she thinks she sees things that aren’t there, hears words that haven’t been spoken. Or have they? She fears she may be losing her mind, unable to determine what’s real and what’s not.

So when she senses her husband’s growing distance, she thinks she’s imagining things. She writes her suspicions off to fatigue, overwork, anything to explain what she can’t accept—that her life really isn’t what it seems.
