No one drives in New York City. Everyone knows that, including California transplant Rachel Price. But that doesn’t stop her from driving into the city. From Connecticut. Every single morning. Rain or shine…or snow.
When she runs the charismatic and good-looking Jason Fairchild off the road, their immediate spark is met with bad timing. There is also one tiny little detail: Jason is her boss. And a woman as intelligent and dedicated to her career as Rachel knows not to date her boss.
As CEO of a private jet company, Jason Fairchild is more used to flying than driving. But if he hadn’t chosen to drive home one night, he wouldn’t have met the slowest—and most irresistible—driver in the entire metro area. Jason has never had time for love. Or dating. Or really anything that doesn’t involve work. But when he finds out that Rachel is the newest superstar in his marketing department, he can’t help wondering if fate has other plans…

REVIEW
Rating: 4.5/5
Catherine Bybee gives us a heartwarming romance and something more with Not Quite Crazy.
I loved the cover, it looks so sexy and cozy - just timely for the weather here at my current country. I have loved this series and read most of the books in it. Catherine Bybee gives different tales from one book to the other, never leaves that some kind of familiarity with the plot or characters besides those butterflies in the stomach that keeps on popping with each book.
This time, I was quick to judge this as a forbidden-romance read. The employee falls in love with the boss type of story, but boy was I so wrong.
Rachel Price just moved into California to make things possible for everyone and landed herself a wonderful job in one of the big companies in there. She underestimated the weather (yes, the snow - just like what I did) and still drove right from Connecticut to New York City. Until one unexpected accident happened and she runs in to Mr. Good-looking who turned out to be her boss, Jason Fairchild.
I love Rachel - her independence and her personality. She's strong and a tough woman. You'd be amazed of what she did, and what she can do. She has a huge heart and would do everything and anything for the people she loved.
Jason Fairchild is successful because he was focused on his running his business. He didn't date that much or had himself in one of the pages in the tabloids. He lives a fairly quiet life, and tries to avoid blind dates set up by his sisters in law, until he runs into Rachel. Can he be able to convince her to give what they got a shot?
Jason is just right for Rachel. He's equally stubborn as she is and wouldn't take no for an answer. It's easy to like him. Not just because he's rich and he can fly you to anywhere in the world. But he cares for her and everything that she cares about. He'd do anything for her.
There are just so many things that happened in this book (and I don't want to put in spoilers), but one thing touched me the most is something about relationships and family. It didn't take someone to be blood-related for them to be called family. It is bound by love and not by blood. More than just your heartstopping romance, this book offers a tear-jearking, touching and loving story of what a family is and should be.
I loved it, and just like the rest of the NOT QUITE SERIES, I finished this book in a jiffy and enjoyed it immensely.
