Brooke was eager to forget about Jett after she caught
him doing something behind her back. But with a monumental amount of debt, and
increasing – she needed to do something. She needed the money, and she needed
it ASAP. She meets Grayson, a photographer who offered her more than what she
expected. The work was not what she would do on normal circumstances, but
beggars couldn’t be choosers. She met some great friends, and everything was
going smoothly, until her new friends insisted she should find new suitor to
get over her ex during a night out.
It was a twist I didn’t see coming. I was surprised
myself – what are the odds? It seemed a little far-fetched, but not really
impossible. The mind is powerful; it can do things we never imagined it can do.
So imagine my surprise when I realize who Brooke was with.
I wonder when can I have Jett’s POV, although I
appreciate being inside Brooke’s mind, I wanted to know Jett’s side too (just
to be fair to the guy who allegedly broke her heart). I always love the
suspense and thrill that comes in every book that JC Reed published. She never
fails to give that sense of mystery, and danger that will keep her readers off
their seats. What started out to be a journey towards independence of a girl
who was broken, turned out to be a mystery that is left to be solved.
