Sometimes in love, you lose all control…

At age ten, Rain fell hard for the sweet boy caring for his little sister.

At age eighteen, she runs into Lennon, now an experienced player and no longer the innocent boy she once loved.

At age nineteen, she has to put all her plans on hold to have his baby, and under a cloud of deception, she faces tragedy and heartbreak.

At age ten, Lennon proposed to Rain in front of the whole school.

At age eighteen, he thought he was over her until he sees her at a party, no longer a little girl but all grown-up and sexy as hell.

At age nineteen, he loses everything he ever cared about.

***WARNING: This book is New Adult Contemporary Romance and contains sexual content.

I have met Lennon’s Jinx, and Lennon’s Rain and now, I am about to meet Lennon’s Hope. The first time I ever saw the title, I was like… he has a new girl?! Again?!

It would have been really weird. But good thing, I was wrong. I wasn’t a member of TEAM RAIN, I was more of TEAM JINX since the first book. I think because Jinx appealed to me more than the young love that Rain and Lennon shared. But the latter is about to live their HEA! This time, I had a love-hate relationship with all of them. They had me frustrated a couple of times, to the point that I wanted to get inside this book and snap the heck out of them. There were so many things that happened, so many tragedies and stupidities could have been prevented if they had just allowed each other to explain. I didn’t know how Chris fitted every bit of those details in this book, and the moment you finish this, you will realize how much these couple have been through, how many storms have passed in their relationship, and how many times they have stumbled, and yet at the end, they have risen, and love have kept them together.

There were a lot of heartbreaking moments – the accident, the loss, the grief and their almost-separation. Instead of clinging into each other for support of their mutual loss, they drifted apart, and suffered alone. It had been a tough moment for them, and by the time she was ready to see him, he did something that made her go away. The truth was out of the box, and everything in Lennon’s world fell apart. It was his deception that made her go away. But he thought she just needed time, so he allowed her to drift.

Nevertheless, he didn’t expect that she’d be done with him for good – OUCH. The news had ripped his heart out, and to cope, he did something he swore he wouldn’t do. And this gave me the most heartache. I hate to watch Lennon, who was happy and full of love in the beginning dwindle away because he couldn’t face his losses. I wish he was stronger, I wish he just talked to her, I wish everything didn’t happen and they just lived happily ever after, like they were supposed to.

But no, their relationship was thoroughly tested, and it had succeeded. Despite so many heartaches, the ending was worth it to close this great trilogy. Lennon is a great guy, despite his imperfections. He loves greatly, and he’s loyal. It was and will always be Rain. There were a lot of girls who have enticed her, but his body and his heart will be forever Rain’s. He might have done some things his future children wouldn’t be proud of him, but he sure knows how to redeem himself.

Rain, okay, I may have liked her a whole lot more in the end, but she had made an effort and move to be with Lennon, and give him the chance after all that had happened. Because if it was me, I don’t think I can ever forgive. She had realized her mistakes, and eager to make up for it.

I fell in love with the song lyric, I wonder if there’s a music accompaniment to it, would have to hear these songs being played. The twists and turns were pretty much visible in every chapter. Just as when you thought you have it figured out, she will surprise you. She’ll break you, and she’ll cure you. This was an epic conclusion to the trilogy and indeed, she saved the best for last.

  1. Thank you for reading and reviewing all 3 books. I wrote this book because a close friend of mine lost two children, one was 37 and the other was 15. I am close friends also with her son, who I went to college with and his sister.

After the loss of a child, most marriages end in divorce. This couple struggled for some time and separated, but then realized the only other person they could share their loss with was each other.

I dedicated this story to them because of their perseverance and love.
