We’re living in a generation where lying is the new truth, loyalty is a tattoo and love is just a quote. Goodbye, Care Bear.
I WAS TORN.
OLD LOVE VS NEW FLAME.
TEAM LUKE VS TEAM NATE – whom should I chose?
He had already his future planned out, and it has always been with her – so when decisions were made without consulting him, he couldn’t see the point of them continuing together. So no matter how painful it was for him, or for her – he has to let her go. The first scene broke my heart. Can’t they just work it out? I mean, they were perfect for each other – why not compromise? I understand where they are both coming from. Luke wants her to stay and Olivia wanted to follow her dreams. Why not meet in the middle?
Forward nine years – Olivia is now a doctor, and returns home.
She met Nate – he was a patient, and Olivia didn’t want to date him at first (ethics and all), but he was very persuasive and determined to have her. And when they did - their chemistry was freaking off the charts, I can feel my heart rate doubled when they’re alone together. But there was always that elephant in the room whenever they’re together.
An unexpected circumstance draw Luke Jackson back into her life – and it didn’t sit well with Nate. If I were Nate, I’d panic too – these two had so much history together! But it has been almost a decade, and a lot has change. They were no longer who they were in the past. They were almost strangers, sharing the same concerns and worries.
But true love never dies, as the old adage tells. And no matter how much time, distance, and no matter how many people come in between, if you are meant to be, fate will find a way to bring the two of you back together. That’s what happened here – the couple had experienced a whole lot of heartbreak, hurt, and pain – and yet at the end it was still them.
I have always been a sucker for second chances plot, but this one, ALMOST made me reconsider it. For a while, I thought I would have gone with Nate, I would have loved them to be together, I don’t care about Luke at all – he had his chance, and he gave her up. But after all of the revelations, of everything that has transpired over nine years have been put into the open – Luke won me over.
The first time I saw this one - I fell in love with the book cover, and twice as much with the book itself once I finished reading it.

Lucia currently resides in South Florida with her brainy husband and wild kids who drive her up a wall. There's never a dull moment in her hectic world, but Lucia wouldn't change a thing. Luckily she has a strong man to stand by her side and combat the craziness with her. YOU'LL THINK OF ME is not her first book, but it's the first one she's completed and likes. The others will come at a later date.
