Cora Lewis is a whole lot of fun, and she knows how to keep her tattooed bad boy friends in line. But all that flash and sass hide the fact that she’s never gotten over the way her first love broke her heart. Now she has a plan to make sure that never happens again: She’s only going to fall in love with someone perfect.
Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He’s stubborn and rigid, he’s bossy and has come back from his final tour of duty fundamentally broken. Rome’s used to filling a role: big brother, doting son, super soldier; and now none of these fit anymore. Now he’s just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes the only color on his bleak horizon.
Perfect isn’t in the cards for these two, but imperfect might just last forever . . .

One
look at his blue eyes – and I’m done for. Who wouldn’t get lost in them???
You’re so full of color, so
vibrant you never get lost in all the gray in my head. I don’t want to lose
that.
The
first time Jay mentioned Cora, my jaws were already dropping. She’s really
something else, with mismatched eye-color, pixie hair, short stature, and one
heck of a personality – she’s a whole lot of fun. She might be little, but she
knew how to keep her mean, marked men friends in line. Despite the tough exterior,
deep inside, she was still the naïve girl who’s suffering from an intense
heartache brought about by her ex fiancé. She swore to herself that the next
time she would fall in love, it would be with MR. PERFECT.
While MR. PERFECT may not exist
in real life, ROME ARCHER does.
He’s
miles away from being perfect, in fact, he’s one corner away from
f**ckedupville. After serving his country for years, he was back in town for
good. He found himself lost, haunted by nightmares and unable to get back into
his normal life. He’s used to be the big brother, the protector, the doting son
– but now? He couldn’t fit in any of those shoes. Good thing Brite and Cora
came into her life…
Cora
might be small, but she sure can turn one’s world upside down in one twist of a
finger. This is what she did with ROME. It might not have been easy, and she
might needed help from the rest of the family, but all her hard work paid off
when Rome had finally opened up. I loved her determination, her courage, her
whole personality. She might be a total spitfire, but when it comes to Rome,
she is at lost for words.
Rome
needed all the help that he can get, I wished he realize this earlier before he
drives away all the people that he loves. Booze keeps all the nightmares away,
but after meeting Cora, she does things that helped him more without clouding
his thoughts. When he finally opened up – his honesty and vulnerability made
him totally irresistible. His journey was one heck of a ride, I was glad I was
to see Cora on the passenger seat with him. He needed her just as much she
needed him.
Then
there’s Brite who had given Rome an opportunity of a lifetime, took him under
his wing and in a way, helped him to drive away his demons.
I
have loved the first book on the Marked Men series, and I have been expecting a
lot from the third installment – ROME. I was not disappointed. Jay Crownover
once again made a fantastic addition to her series that fans have been looking
forward to. Trust me, this was all worth the wait. YOU will definitely fall in
love with Rome and love Cora along the way. Both of them may not be perfect,
but they are perfect for each other. Get ready to swoon, fall in love, cry, and
laugh as another Marked Man creeps his way into your hearts and in your dreams.

I'm supposed to share interesting details about myself so that my readers get to know me so here we go in no particular order: I'm an natural redhead even though I haven't seen my real hair color in years, I'm a big fan of tattoos and have a half sleeve on either arm and various other pieces all over the place, I've been in the bar industry since I was in college and it has always offered interesting insight into how men and women interact with each other, I have 3 dogs that are all crazy, I live in Colorado and love the snow, I love music and in all reality wish I could be a rock star not a writer or a bartender but I have zero talent so there is that.
I love to write, love to read and all I'm interested in is a good story with interesting characters that make the reader feel something.
