How do you lose everything?
Ask January Cooper.
She was the daughter of a Dallas multimillionaire, the debutante of the year, and the girl most likely to get whatever she wanted.
But when her father is arrested for securities fraud, the girl who had everything starts to lose everything. And once she starts falling, she can't seem to stop.
When she walks into Christian Cutlass's bar, she meets the first person who sees all the way through her. And Christian Cutlass meets the first girl who doesn't care about who he used to be and what he lost one night when he was nineteen years old.
She's gorgeous and hurt. He's twisted in too many ways to count. She's the girl with nothing left to lose. He's the boy who lost everything he lived for.

There was a point in this novel when you would say, she
deserves it. January Cooper wasn’t nice. She was a brat. How can she not be
when she has everything that she needs in one snap of a finger? She’s a
debutante. A daughter of a millionaire, and she’s going to Harvard!
Her life stared spiraling when her fiancé was caught with
drugs, and cheating on her. Turns out, she was the only one who didn’t know
about it. Her father got arrested for fraud. One by one, everything around her
disappeared. She fell from grace, and it wasn’t a graceful tumble.
Then she met Christan Cutlass, the only person who sees
through her walls. He had been through rough times, and had lost someone so
close to him. And now, his future was in jeopardy because he can’t do the very
thing he wanted to do. He had tried countless time, and he was just dead tired.
I wished his father could get the hint of what he wanted. His father can be
really sensitive when he wanted too, but his drive to make everything work with
his life drives him (and me) a little crazy!
Trust me when I say you will love her, really, really
love her by the time this novel will end. This girl has more to her than being
a spoiled brat. It took a big wake up call for her to see things as they really
are. But she’s a strong girl and faced everything heads on. She was vulnerable,
but she hid it well to the world. She didn’t allow her enemies to topple her.
Her parents were a selfish bunch and I hated them to the core. They so didn’t
deserve her, after her efforts to go home… arghhhhh! I hated to think about
what happened right there. Despite her hesitations, I’m so glad she made that
call.
I don’t know why they clicked, knowing they are way
different from each other, but somehow really perfect together. They tried to
fight off the attraction because of the issues that surrounds them. These
couple made me laugh, made my heart ache, and had me frustrated at times – but
they go to my favorite couple ever!
The Fall of January Cooper is a story of a girl who has
nothing left to lose and a boy who had lost everything – both found their way
into each other’s arms and complete the void in each other’s lives. It was
great watching them slowly, day by day falling in love with each other, heal
their wounds and crush the demons from their pasts. January Cooper had me
captivated, enthralled, and simply hooked.
