COMPLICATED BY YOU is a sexy New Adult love story about a girl who loves so deeply that it may cost her everything.
Evie's childhood friend Jay has always had her back. But college complicates things as Jay starts dating Evie's roommate Cynthia. Now, Evie spends her nights trying to sleep while Jay and Cynthia go at it like rabbits a few feet away!
Evie hates feeling like a third wheel and hates wishing it was her in Jay's arms even more. It doesn't help that Jay won't let Evie date or even hook up without interfering and making sure everyone on campus knows that she's off limits.
Something has to give. Evie can't continue pining away for Jay, and Jay can't continue to act like he owns her when he won't so much as touch her. And worse of all, Evie can barely look Cynthia in the eye for fear she will know just how she feels about Jay.
Then one night shifts Evie, Jay and Cynthia into an web of love and deceit, tangling their hearts and forcing one of them to come to a compromise that will change all their lives.
How far should someone go for love?
Until it’s no longer convenient, or until it’s tearing apart their soul? Evie soon realizes that love isn’t always easy and loving someone isn't as simple as it seems. Sometimes, it's COMPLICATED.
Look for Evie and Jay's story to continue in December 2013!
The title is very suitable to the situation Evie just let herself in. She was long in love with her best friend Jay who was always there for her since they were children. But college and football makes Jay an easy target for girls, and it doesn’t exempt her roommate Cynthia – who’s a walking Barbie. Every night, Evie spends it on bed trying to block out disturbing noises elicited by these two bunnies from the other side of the room.
He wasn’t dating Evie, and he won’t let her date anyone. Jay sees red the moment Evie steps into the room with someone else. It didn’t help her cause that she was drunk, horny and needed a good orgasm. Jay made sure that everyone knew she was off limits.
Then here comes the problem when everyone finally speaks up of their feelings. Jay loves Evie, Evie loves Jay, Jay is still with Cynthia, Cynthia won’t let go of Jay – ahhh – the cycle goes on. And yes, pretty much complicated. The question is who will have let go?
Love is indeed complicated and nothing is more complicated than being in a relationship and loving someone else. Jay is smoking hot and the steamy scenes were off the charts, especially the ones at the beach – it was rockin’ my world. BUT – I wished like Cynthia he will have a backbone and decide! YOU CAN’T HAVE BOTH and not hurt the other. He should definitely put a stop to whatever he’s doing and choose. Who is it going to be? Like Evie – I don’t share what is mine. I’d rather give it freely than sharing it. I wish December would come sooner! I’m dying to know what happens next!
