The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor are the newest addition to the award-winning Braden series and the Love in Bloom family, joining the Snow Sisters, the Bradens, the Remingtons, & Seaside Summers, (Voted BEST BOOK SERIES by Supportive Business Moms, UK).

Fall in love with Nate Braden & Jewel Fisher in Healed by Love.

Nate Braden has loved his best friend’s younger sister Jewel for as long as he can remember, but between their age difference and his respect for Rick, he’s always kept his feelings at bay. Now he’s back in Peaceful Harbor, and Jewel is no longer sixteen years old—but there’s an even bigger obstacle standing in his way. Nate and Rick joined the military together eight years earlier. Nate came home a hero, but Rick didn’t make it out alive.

"I would say I couldn't love you more than I do right this very second, but it'd be a lie, because I know without a doubt that every second will be better than the last."

I just can’t believe that this short read had me in tears! The first book in the Bradens from peaceful Harbor and I’m already a crying mess. I loved this book, the perfectly fast-pacing of the story, and the characters (most especially the new set of Bradens).

Just like the rest of the Braden men, Nate Braden is simply irresistible. Who wouldn’t want one of ‘em? Certainly, I’d fly anywhere to meet one. They’re flawed, sometimes with baggage, and yet they’re perfect. They’re the kind of men you want to bring home to your parents (*sighing*).

"Every f***ing fantasy I've ever had involved you."

Anyway, back to Nate here, he has been in love with his best friend’s younger sister Jewel for a very long time. But mainly because of his respect for their friendship, he didn’t make a move. But things change, years later, he was back at Peaceful Harbor, with a lot on his plate and guilt riding in his heart and Jewel, the girl of his fantasies and his dreams is no longer sixteen years old. Even though he wanted badly to make a move, he can’t. Until he confesses something to her, something that might make him lose her.

Jewel is the responsible sister in the family. Don’t get me wrong, her mom’s great. No family issues right here, but since they have lost their dad, and then Rick, she had made sure she helped her mother and protect her siblings in the best way she can. She might not won the ‘most-fun’ sister award, but she only wants what she thought was right and best for everyone.

I always love the family dynamics that Melissa Foster brings to her stories; it’s the very heart and the very essence of it. I always look forward for the relationship they have with their families.  It warms my heart all the time. But let’s not forget the romance and the plot, my friends. Because no matter how many Bradens are there in her series right now – she managed to make each one uniquely lovable and each story different from the rest.

Trust me – YOU. WILL. FALL. IN. LOVE. WITH. NATE. BRADEN. His heart is just so big and so generous, I love how he loved not just Jewel, but Rick and the rest of their family. It’s a little heartbreaking that Rick wasn’t there to watch their love bloom and get their HEA, it would have been perfect.
