Seattle shakes with anticipation: they call it the concert of the year. They say girls are getting pregnant just thinking about my band being in town.
But when you love a girl, you don't leave her with nothing but a ring and a promise. Any man with half a brain should know.
So what did I expect my girl would do when she saw me again?
Well, for starters, she loathes our music. Particularly the song I wrote about her.
When I sing it, the stadium is in an uproar. Thousands of fans scream my name like I'm a god--but yeah, not her. Crystal clear: the girl's not happy to see me.
Black hair, black boots, a bad attitude, that's her -- Pandora Stone is a freaking man-eater and she's out for my blood.
That's alright.
Let her come at me. Because I'm out for her heart and, this time, there's no way she can stop me.

I LOVE PANDORA. Gaaahd. She might have been an angry b***h, but she had me laughing with what she did during concert. IT WAS EPIC, and she got not only his attention, or the band, or the manager - but she got mine, including my heart. OMG, Pandora, you are officially on the list of my favorite female leads. YOU TOTALLY ROCK! She has balls! I love the strength of her character, and I didn't expect her side of the story. I knew she was angry, and I thought I figured out the reason why, until Katy Evans gave me a twist that surprised me. No wonder she was really mad.
You see, they were so in love with each other when they were younger. Pandora might not tell him that, but she did everything to show and prove to him how much he meant to her. But circumstances, and family drove them apart, leaving both of them crushed and devastated.
Now they were given a second chance. Sparks and tomatoes flew, and no one can deny how much they still dig each other. It was sizzling, palpable in the pages and you might wonder who will finally give in first and take the move.
Will they finally let go of the past and embrace the future? Or will they let anger and betrayal tarnished their present?
I am, and will always be a fan of second-chance romance. Especially when it is as well-written as this one. Their journey might be a bit tough and rough, and both needed a good shake for them to wake up from their stupors and get into their senses: but everything went fine at the end. There were so many scenes I love, one of my favorites will always be that scene in Madison Square Garden. This particular scene made everything worth it.
RIPPED is definitely one of my favorite in the series. Ripped got passion, angst, anger, steam, and most especially, let's not forget a whole lot of past, issues and romance.
Katy Evans grew up with books and book-boyfriends until she
found a real sexy boyfriend to love. They married and are now hard at work on
their own happily ever after. Katy loves her family and friends, and she also
loves reading, walking, baking, and being consumed by her characters until she
reaches “The End.” Which is, hopefully, only the beginning…
