Harlequin HQN (Digital First)
New Adult Contemporary Romance
We weren't a relationship, we were a ticking time bomb...
Maggie Carpenter walked away from the hottest encounter of her life when she left the seductive glitz of England for summer break in her South Carolina hometown. Now that she’s returned to the International School in London—and sexy, privileged Samir Khouri is once again close enough to touch—she can’t help but remember the attraction, the drama … the heartbreak.
She can’t help but want him even more.
Samir can’t afford to fall for someone so far removed from his world, not when his time in London is running out. It's his senior year—his last chance at freedom before he returns home to Lebanon. There, he’ll be expected to follow in his father’s footsteps—not follow his heart to Maggie. But when a scorching secret hookup becomes a temptation neither can resist, they’ll both have to fight to survive the consequences … and find a future together.
Don’t miss this explosive sequel to I See London, and the riveting conclusion to Maggie and Samir’s story. This is a New Adult romance recommended for readers 17 and up.

Maggie Carpenter went back home after THAT hot encounter
with Samir. But their time apart, the very sporadic text and no email at all
fed her insecurities. Now, that she’s once again back in London, the sinfully
sexy Samir Khouri is close enough to touch. And everything came back to her all
at once, assaulting her thoughts – the affrair, the drama and the heartache.
No matter how I would like to hate Samir, I couldn’t. He
was honest. He didn’t led her on. He told her what he can offer, even if it was
not enough. I wished she turned it down. Made him realize he needed to work on
her, that she deserves to be wooed, she deserves to be ‘the one’, she deserves
to be the ONLY choice for someone.
But despite the fact that her heart has been broken, and
nothing is ever the same again after that night, Maggie took the risk. She
wanted more. Even if it was just for six months. It was like – ‘Okay, at least I
got six months with him than nothing at all.’ So I tell myself, SAMIR, YOU
BETTER BE WORTH THE FUTURE HEARTACHE. Because even though she tells herself she’d
be okay, I know by the end of their affair, when Samir graduated and comes back
to Lebanon to fulfill his future duty with his family, she’d be crushed, and
perhaps beyond repair.
And oh, Samir was f****ng worth it. It wasn’t just the
sex and those stolen kisses (which were btw, totally HOT and off the charts!),
but it’s the way he treated Maggie. He cared for her, he treated her well, he
treated her like his girlfriend, like they were going to have a future
together. But that elephant in the room, telling both of them that their bubble
is going to burst in six months time was always there, reminding the both of
them. So, they made the best out of it. When their six months was up, despite
the aching in my heart as it was about to be shattered into pieces, I’m going
to say he was worth it!
Would Fleur get her story too? Because I wanted her to
have her HEA… would it be with…? Ah, Fleur’s love life becomes interesting in
this sequel. She’s one of those people in here that you will love regardless of
her flaws and façade. She’s a strong girl, with a brave face. She shatters, but
she wouldn’t let the world know. But as a friend, she was loyal to a fault. She
was there ready to catch Maggie the moment she tumbles down from her euphoria.
I was glad that Maggie and her father finally settled
their issues, and she was enlightened about the past. Their talk, no matter how
late, made all the difference in the world.
It’s more than an EPIC, EPIC conclusion to one of my most
awaited stories for the year. It went beyond my expectations, and Chanel
Cleeton – you totally rocked my world, filled my sleepless nights with heat and
ache, and I just couldn’t express fully how hooked I was with Samir and Maggie’s
final book. I was reading with my fingers-crossed, because I wasn’t so sure if
they’d gonna get theirs. It was what I loved about this book, because you never know how it will end because of the circumstances that's surrounding the characters. Nevertheless, this is a MUST READ, and one of my top
recommendations for the month!

Originally a Florida girl, at seventeen Chanel moved to London to attend an international university. In the four years that followed, she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, learned how to dance, travelled through Europe, and made lifelong friendships. Chanel fell in love with London and planned to stay there forever. But fate intervened on a Caribbean cruise, when an American fighter pilot with smooth dance moves, swept her off her feet.
Now, a happily ever after later, Chanel is living her next adventure in South Korea. An avid reader and hopeless romantic, she is happiest curled up with a book. She has a weakness for handbags, puppy cuddles, and her fighter pilot husband. Chanel writes New Adult contemporary romances and Young Adult thrillers. Her New Adult debut, I SEE LONDON, will be released by Harlequin (HQN) on February 3, 2014, followed by a sequel, LONDON FALLING, later in the year.
