Sebastian Boa is "The Man Without Rules." Rules just don't apply to him. When he meets Mariss Red one night at one of his night clubs, he sets his sights on her and makes a play. But Mariss is married and she has no desire to lose what she loves for a one night stand. The harder Sebastian tries the more Mariss refuses and he realizes that his feelings for her may be deeper than he ever thought possible for a man like him. And he finds himself changing to be worthy of the one woman who has ever told him no.
Sebastian Boa – is the man who doesn’t adhere to rules. He can have any woman that he wants at his disposal. Until one night, he came across Mariss Red at one of his night clubs. The first moment he saw her, he just knew he wanted her – so he made his move. There is one problem though: Red is happily married and no matter how crazy the sexual tension between the two of them she would never leave her husband for him. So he tries to sought her out, but the harder he tries, the more Mariss refuses him. The efforts he makes are futile since Mariss loves her husband and it would take much more for her to leave him. Along the ride, he realized that his feelings may run deeper than his initial lust, and the moment he realized it – he was just in too deep. For a man without rules, would he ever change his ways to be worthy of one woman he desperately wants?
Sebastian Boa is a complex character. He may look tough on the inside, but deep down he’s a softie too. Despite the womanizing exterior, this gentleman has the heart for the needy. What I hate about him on the other hand is his persuasiveness. Why in the world can’t he leave Mariss alone? He knew she was married, he knew her set of rules – why her when he could have any other girl on his beck and call?
He’s not the only one who is complex though. He’s surrounded by bunch of them: from Mariss, Hellena and even Judith. Every single one of them has their own baggage they carry and issues that makes their lives complicated.
What I like about this novel is the twist and turns, the ups and downs, and yes, those steamy scenes too. Tyffani Clark Kemp wrote an amazing novel that will have you gripping your Kindle tightly anticipating the scene on the following page. Although I hated how it ends and I didn’t see it coming as well, it had me yearn for the next book in the series and had me wondering what would happened next.
