Elicit by Rachel Van Dyken - Book Review

This is one of my most anticipated novels this year!!!!
I'm dying to read this one!!!!

Cursed, numb, rejected, scorned, wicked, sinister, dark, twisted...my name is Tex Campisi and this is my legacy. I killed my father in cold blood and lost my soul right along with him.
I crave war more than peace, and I'm about to take my place in history as the youngest Capo dei Capi in the Cosa Nostra...that is until someone stops me, saves me from myself.

But the only person able to do that...is my best friends sister, Mo Abandanato, and she just ripped my heart out and asked me to hold it in my hands while she put bullets through it.

Im cursed so I did it.
I'm numb so I held it.
I'm wicked so I liked it.
I used the pain Mo caused as a catalyst to turn into my biggest nightmare--the five families greatest enemy. It's my turn to take a stand, knowing full well I'm going to lose my mind to the madness that is the American Mafia. I've always been told Blood is thicker than life. I wish I would have listened. Because regardless of who you love? You will betray. You will kill.
Blood Always Wins.
The only way out is death...yours.

Welcome to the dark side of the family.

I have been waiting so long for Tex and Mo’s story! Finally the wait is over!!! I couldn’t put it down, no matter how tried, the desperation for a happy ending, and the fear of death had me reading until the wee hours of the morning.

The two of them had caught my attention in the earlier books, and I loved them both. Mo, being a strong, independent and fearless girl and Tex – I like his humor amidst the chaos. Despite all the circumstances that are surrounding them, all those complications, I knew they were meant to be together. Individually, they are strong, together they are ticking time bomb waiting to explode. They have hurt each other, and broken each other’s heart, and yet in the end, it was still them. They gravitated towards each other, gravity so strong, nothing, even danger and death could keep them apart.

The end of Entice had me wanting for more, I wonder if Tex would rise up to his birthright, or he’d ignore it. What future would they have together? Will war ensue? There were so many questions, one by one Elicit had answered it.

There were a lot of lies, a lot of ghost rising up, a lot of surprises, twists, and turns. Intense scenes that will have your heartbeat rise to alarm levels, steamy scenes that will ignite your readers, and unexpected scenes that will bring you down to your knees – no wonder I couldn’t stop reading it.

Rachel Van Dyken, you totally rock! I expected so much, and it was really worth the wait.
