I have a partiality when it comes to second-chance love story, this wasn’t an exemption. It’s an enjoyable read with loads of heart in it.

Chelsea married young and got divorced young. She was no longer into bad boys, but dating “decent, respectable” men doesn’t work well for her either. Or perhaps, it is just one particular man whom her heart belongs to ever since and she never really got it back.

Then Dean came back into her life - it was like he never left. The intensity of their chemistry is still there. But Chelsea is careful now. He might want another chance, but she didn’t want to risk her heart again. Can he convince her to take the risk with her and start where they left off?

I loved this book. I like the complexity of the characters, and how you get to know them better as the story goes along. They all have something to tell. They are strong, and willing to fight for what they want. You’d hate them, you’d love them,

Afternoon Delight is my first book from Piper Rayne, one thing is for sure - I’m gonna read more from these authors!
