Mace Jordan was not the type of guy I expected to sweep me off my feet. I knew of the crowd he ran with, and they were bad news. But beyond that tough, biker exterior was a sweetheart, and one that treated me like his princess.

I liked being the good girl with the bad boy, but I never expected this. What I saw on his computer…I thought I knew him.

But I was wrong. So wrong…

If there was ever a bad time for me to fall for a chick it was now, but from the moment I saw Leeta, she had me. There was something special about her, and I had to have her. But I also had a job to do, and I couldn’t let her distract me from that. I couldn’t let her discover that side of me either. But she’s not stupid, and I know she’s getting close. God knows what she’ll do if she discovers the truth.

Or what she thinks is the truth.

Don't You Just Love the Cover?

Mace Jordan was the total opposite of what Leeta would have for a boyfriend. They were too different from each other – not to mention the crowd that he was in was far too different from the crowd that she was accustomed to. But beneath this hard, rock, tough exterior is a sweet guy who treated her like a queen. Who wouldn’t love him?

He had been through a lot, his family was far from perfect, and all he wanted to do was to get all of this over with. But his dark past, and even a darker secret even me didn’t really expect, makes it so hard for him. He just needed to do what he has to do, and put this all behind him – no need to let Leeta know…

Only that she knew. She went into his house, used his computer, and suddenly stumbled upon something she wasn’t supposed to know. And now, Leeta wasn’t sure who he really is, if the guy, the sweet, amazing guy she has been with is a one big fat lie.

No matter how hard it may seem, Mace knew he needed to explain himself, explain what she saw and attempt to make her see his reasons. She was everything to him, but he also needed to do something and distraction was not in his agenda. He tried so hard in keeping the other part of him a secret, but she wasn’t stupid, and he knows it was only a matter of time before she uncovers it.

I loved Leeta, she gave him a fair chance to be with her, she’s a smart girl, and no matter how hard it is to understand what Mace got himself into, after the initial shock was over, she gave him a chance to explain, and even helped him with it. She’s one brave girl, I couldn’t fathom any girl on her right mind, would undergo what she had been through and survive almost unscathed.

The twist was pretty much spectacular, I know there was something bad going on there – but I was still left dumbfounded when the truth was uncovered. I liked the two characters, their devotion and love to one another, despite all the idiosyncrasies surrounding them. They were so hot together, and the steamy scenes were totally off the charts.

And Mace? He’s a great brother who would do just about anything for his family. Even at the expense of his happiness.

Dark Secrets, Pains, a vow of vengeance and a search for retribution for a long, lost love one.

Provoke had PROVOKE my thoughts, my emotions, and my stand against good and evil. Up to what extent would you consider a deed, good? Evil? What mitigating factors would you risk your conscience with? Admit it, this had you thinking too… It was a one, wild ride that had me aching, screaming, and anticipating on the back seat.
