Rand Bishop’s dreams of Olympic gold were shattered years ago but he’s left that all behind, settling into a new career and lifestyle that would make any man jealous. While he may not be competitively racing down the ski slopes anymore, he’s just as happy getting his rocks off as a Fantasy Maker for The Silo.

He’s good at what he does.
Damn good.

But while life couldn’t be better for Rand, it seems to be falling apart for Catherine Lyons Vaughn, the dark haired, brown-eyed beauty that has captivated an entire sex club.

Having spent years degrading herself on her husband’s whim and now left destitute after his death, Catherine has hit rock bottom. With nothing but her body to peddle, Catherine is merely trying to figure out how to survive in a harsh, cruel world. Lucky for her, Rand has taken her under his tattooed wing, and he’s determined to give her a safe life where she can be the woman she was always meant to be.

Now all Catherine has to do is believe she deserves the chance.

Okay, I’m dying to read about Bridger, but I have to settle for Rand for the mean time, and indeed this turned out to be a major surprise especially with Catherine.  This was of course, sexy (it’s a given: you will lose your breath panting with each page – have your batteries ready), and it was really sweet.

Rand lost everything when he had the injury that will never let him ski competitively again: the chance for an Olympic medal and the love of his life who couldn’t seem to handle his situation. But he moved on, and he is quite content being one of the Fantasy Maker at The Silo. In fact, he was one of the best.

And Catherine – how can you not love her? Yes, her choices were not stellar, and it wasn’t something she can be proud of. She had suffered enough for it, and now, she’s trying to live her life the way it should be, if only she was given what is due to her. After her husband’s death she received nothing but the clothes on her back and the car that she was driving.

And here comes Rand – her white and shining armor to the rescue. He did everything to help her and encourage her to fight for what is rightfully hers. And despite the fact she didn’t think she was good enough for him, and even did something to piss him off, Rand stayed and believed in the goodness in her.

Wicked Need may ooze of sex and steam – but what captured me most is the second chance that was given to Catherine – second chance in life and a once in a lifetime chance of finding her one true love.  It makes some brave, surprising twists and turns and made me held on to the book and made me forget that I wanted Bridger ASAP. Once again, Sawyer Bennett didn’t disappoint.
