I didn't know how Lady Georgiana did it - but she did. She became one of the most powerful people in the country. But I was glad she didn't have the heart to use it on people who have shunned her. Despite what she had been through, she still has a good heart. BUT, desperate times calls for desperate measures.
Then there's Caroline - a character that will capture your hearts and attention. She is wise beyond her years and a source of laughter and entertainment in the book. I love her wit and her charms. I want to read her story too!
As for Duncan - his insight and sense of observation is apt for a reporter. But when denial and doubt cloud his mind, his intelligence can be a little questionable. The secret was staring at him right in the face, not to mention the hints that were dropped. Argh. Get-a-hint-moment for Duncan right there...
I didn't stop reading until I finished this book. There were too many secrets to be uncovered. Too many surprising twists and turns. I didn't have the heart to put it down. Sarah MacLean is one master-storyteller. She got her readers hooked on every page, hang on to every word, and patiently wait for the HEA to come.
Great romance, lovely characters, amazing plot and steamy scenes - who wouldn't fall in love with this book?
