I loved Javi ever since I have met him in For Real. He was loads of fun and an excellent friend to Jett. Now that Jett and Shannon are hooking up, I'm glad it was his turn for his HEA. Although I'm a little skeptical about Hazel.
I didn't like Shannon's friends in her story. But I was giving Hazel a shot. She wasn't that bad after all... She's intelligent, she has a sense of direction and she knows what she wants. Even though she deprives herself of one thing she wants the most - Javier. She can be frustrating at times, especially when she tries to suppress her wants and her needs. Argh.
The both of them were bull-headed. Strong-personality who are known to go after what they want, and then when it stares them right in the face, they didn't know what to do about it. It scares the heck out of them.
They are great together, especially after they finally spend time together, studying or just having dinner with the new couple. It was just a matter of time before one of them finally succumbs to the attraction - and I was wondering, who's going to grab on to it first? Looking at this two, and knowing what they're personalities are: it's going to be explosive.
"I'm like Oprah. She gives out cars. I give out orgasms."
As for Javier, awww. It's amazing to know him in-depth. Behind his fun exterior, there was something more to him. His secrets were pretty jaw-dropping, and I didn't realized he had it in him.
Although I'd like how the plot went and fell in love with Javier even more, there was this cheesiness which had the hairs in my arms raise. Despite the fact that I love sweet, short romance - I think it was somehow over the top, and the author overdid the "babe" quite a bit. I wish I had a peek on Javier's brain as well. It would have been a blast.
