The Connections series continues with this spin-off novel.
He didn’t think, he didn’t question—he just acted.
What she wanted, she took—without regard.
It was only one night, but it changed everything.
After losing his fiancée, Ben Covington is unsure he’ll ever love again. But when he sees Bell Wilde, he’s so deeply drawn to her, that he’s thrown for a loop. Maybe it’s purely sexual chemistry that’s igniting this spark between them...or maybe it’s his second chance at love.
Bell has just gotten her life back on track and may not be up for the challenge of Ben Covington. But once they’re reunited, there’s no holding back—even if a secret from Bell’s past just might shatter them both.

It took one steamy night. It was hot. It was passionate.
It was sinful. It wasn’t supposed to happened. But it was one night neither of
them could forget. It was a night that shifted their worlds off its axis,
everything wasn’t the same again.
Ben Covington – I couldn’t resist a man who is good in
words. I have read his story in Blurred, and I am eager for him to find his
happy ending. So right after I was one with the novella, I immediately went for
the next one.
Now, their paths had once again crossed, Ben was a free
man, but Bell Wilde has still a lot on her plate. Just like Ben, her life is
just starting. Failure and distractions were not on her options. To avoid any
complications, she opted to have a relationship based on sex. Any other man
would have dived into the opportunity, it surprised Ben, but what the heck, at
least it was something.
At first, it was supposedly for a night, but the sexual
chemistry was definitely off the charts, and everything was just as wonderful
as before. Sparks were overwhelming, and both of them can’t help themselves for
coming back for more. Perhaps, both of them are given this second chance – to find
each other, or to fall in love.
But Bell – she has some secrets she needed to divulge
first. Secrets that might shake the foundation of their newly found stability…
Totally HOT. HOT. HOT.
The steamy scenes were just sizzling, and I my kindle is
on fire. OMG I want Ben Covington for myself!
He might have come from a bad place in his past, but he
was ready to give his life another shot. He just won an award for Journalism,
and seeing the red head that had occupied most of his dreams was an added
bonus. But she was more hesitant that he originally thought. He might feel her
skin tingle when he touch her, her breathing hitch when he’s near, or her heartbeat
accelerate when they are together – but the walls she built around her was too
strong. He needed to work his way in. Good thing he was patient.
As for Bell – you are beautiful, talented, intelligent,
her value is more than what she thought is – how in the world did you become a
doormat? I hated the way Tate, her boss, treat her. I wanted to punch him in
the face everytime he appears on the page. I was waiting for her to fight back.
She was afraid to quit, afraid to fail – so she just swallow it all up, and get
abused by her boss. Arrrghhh…. When will she ever quit?
It was the secret that shook their foundation. I didn’t
see that coming though. It was a little bit heartbreaking for the two, but I was
glad she opted to tell him that before they get deeper into their relationship.
Ben, at first, didn’t take it well. But once the initial surprise sets in, he
understood why Bell did it.
I was glad both of them had their second chance. Ben deserves
a happy ending, so does Bell. They have been through hell and back, and it was
time for them to be happy. But before that they needed to pass this one final
test…
Dahlia might be his first, but Bell was his true love.
Ben made sure Bell was taken care of, not just in bed, but also outside. It
hurt him that she needed time to introduce him to her family, and he tried to
understand her. He didn’t push, he didn’t force but it was amusing when he
wouldn’t play fair sometimes.
Just like the rest of the series, I didn’t have the heart
to put down this book. I was totally engaged to every word, to every scene, to
every twist. My heart skipped, broke, shattered, and thrilled. I enjoyed devouring
it, would gladly recommend it to friends. I couldn’t wait for Caleb’s story!
