The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all… No falling in love
Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy right?
Too bad he’s committed to making her break every rule…
Football has been good to Drew. It’s given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there’s one problem: she's shut him down. Completely.
That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Now it’s up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she’s truly hooked. It's a good thing Drew knows all about winning.
All’s fair in love and football…Game on.

Anna Jones had some self-esteem problem. It didn’t help that she was invisible during her high school days and bullied. Plus, her mother’s constant parade of losers in front of her since her father died. All she wanted was to finish college, and figure out her life. Everything was going smoothly, until she caught the attention of the star quarterback – Drew Baylor.
I love being inside a man’s brain – hearing his thoughts about THIS girl, his cravings, his desires, and his frustrations. It was like he was internally swooning, yearning, and wanting. Definitely a chic-thought there – but it was really cute. I like when boys find their ‘THE ONE’, the person who would caught them off guard and made them yearn. Drew was young, but the first time he met Anna, he knew she was it. Now, if only he can form a coherent thought and not sound like an a** when he talks to her.
When they could no longer resist temptation and gave in to their urges – Anna placed some rules:
Too bad, he’s determined to make her break every rule. Drew may have been the QB who have national championships to his name – but he wasn’t a douche. He had led the team well, a good friend, no air in his head, and he might have the opportunity to bed every woman he wants, but he didn’t. YOU WILL DEFINITELY LOVE HIM (well, until he does something not-so-nice). He already graduated from that scene a few years back. All he wanted was her. Now, if he can only convince her that he was more than a hook-up. He was determined to win her, whatever it takes.
Just as when you thought you are finally on their HEA, something will come up, get your stomachs in twists and your heart shatters once again. It had me wondered, will Ms. Callihan give me an HEA or will these two finally give up on each other? The twist will just kill you in anticipation.
It was a long roller-coaster ride. I was ready to get bored, I was ready to complain for a drag – but it didn’t happen. Instead, I fell in love, one page at a time, experience Anna & Drew’s journey towards their HEA. Crossing my fingers, hoping that what started as a hook-up would lead to something more, and it did, but not after those crazy twist and turns and heartbreaks.
You will love, you will hate, you will get hot, you will get frustrated, you will get hooked with THE HOOK UP.
