Rachel Van Dyken did it once again. She didn’t disappoint with Risky Play. It was hilarious, sweet, great plot and interesting characters that will make you read this book in one sitting.

Mac is a planner. She knew what she wanted in her life, and planned it perfectly. It wasn’t in her plan to be jilted right in front of the altar of the man who promised her forever. After that humiliating event in her life, she decided to go on their honeymoon alone. She met Slade in the plane.

The first time they met was quite funny. I love the fact that Mac got rid of her inhibitions and jump to whatever she felt like doing. Slade was a willing partner. Although, they left the part of giving each other their real names. It felt real, and she felt good for the first time in months after what happened. When reality strike, their vacation was cut short, and Slade left her alone.

Slade is a famous athlete. He decided to have a break after his controversial transfer, and it was refreshing to know that the lady sitting beside him on the plane didn’t know him. But he’d been an a**, and left her at the resort.

The next thing he knew is that she was working for him. How can he possibly resist the woman?

Yes, the next time they met Slade was quite rude. But I was glad that it didn’t take long before Mac put him in his place. I love their banters, and their tug-of-wars about what they feel. I love Jagger and Matt and even Alfie.

I love how Mac’s character evolved. She finally knew what she’s worth and she knew that she deserves better if not the best. Slade, aw, he can break your hearts, but he knows how to grovel, and he does it well. I adore the friendship that developed between Jagger and Slade and Matt as well - bromance at its finest. I enjoyed it immensely. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

I am head over heels in love with this book!

The first time I read the excerpt, I just knew I need to get my hands on this one, and it didn't disappoint.

Love is sometimes just right in front of us, and we couldn't see it. We look further away. Livy Chapman is in love with her best friend Jessie Stephenson for forever. But she remained in the friendzone - he girl who copies his homework, supports him and hooks up with other girls in front of. So when Chase Mitchell, the starplayer of the soccer team offers himself to be her fake-boyfriend to drive off his crazy ex and have Jessie noticed her, she reluctantly agreed.

But, it turned out that Chase Mitchell was more than just a pretty face. He can be sweet, caring, thoughtful, and a good kisser. He brings out the best in her, and looks at her like she's the most beautiful girl in the world even in her worst outfit. Although - this is just pretend right?

What happens when the line gets blurred? Who will Livy choose?

I love how their 'pretend' relationship became. I'm glad that Livy didn't exactly agree at first, and how Chase finally wore her down and convinced her. Only that Chase has motives of his own. The pacing was just perfect, and everything was just right. Nothing was rushed. There was enough anticipation that will take you to the edge of your seat.

I love best friend romance, seriously. But there is always an exception - and it is this one. Livy deserves her HEA. She had been through so much when she was young, and is suffering from panic attacks and anxiety. I love that she has Sophie who has her back and supports her all the way. As for Chase, OMG, he's the best ever. He has his own secret that would seriously make you swoon and your heart melts. And god, did my heart break when Livy got stupid for a while there. I was just glad she finally realized who she wanted.

This one is a must-read.

The first thing I like about this book are the characters. Arden, our heroine, is a planner. She likes things in order, she owns a bookstore and she's one of the nicest ladies in town. In fact, her being nice was the reason that one of her boyfriends broke up with her. She was "too vanilla". It was Gabe that lend a shoulder to cry on (like literally) the second it happened. It started a beautiful friendship between the two.

Between bowling and playing Words with Friends occasionally, they were constant in each other's life. She was her go-to person. But something else was lacking. She decided it was time for her to dive into a new relationship, but first she needs to shed off her "vanilla-ness", and the perfect candidate to help her - none other than her best buddy, Gabe.

Gabe is a lady's man. But there was no other lady he wanted than the lady who is constant in his life. But he's wary of risking the friendship at first. When he finally had the guts to give in, Arden gave him the biggest surprise of his life offering him to tutor her with regards to sex. Her list was like heaven for him and it almost matches his fantasies! Of course, there are stipulations. How can he possibly say no?

Gabe and Arden's relationship with the secondary characters (i.e. friends and families) is a nice touch as well. I love how Gabe is with his Pops, and Arden with her girls. 

There is indeed a thin line between friendship and love, and I always believe friendship is the strongest foundation of a relationship. I like how their relationship came about. The sex-ed was a little funny, and off-the-charts steamy. Chemistry is already there between the two and all you have to do is to wait when it will finally self-combust, and when it did, it was just so powerful. 

I finished this book in one sitting, completely entertaining, funny, hot, and oh-so sweet. Lauren Blakely makes another perfect romance that would make her readers swoon.
