Whoever said life is hard didn’t know the half of it!
Completely devastated when his life is ripped out from underneath him, Jordan Rhodes decides to take a break. A break from everything he’s always known; the country club life-style, his life-long friends and his overbearing parents. He just wants to be free to get lost and not feel the pain he has endured.
Kimber Maguire has been dealt the tough card her entire life. An ailing mom, a sister who refuses to face reality and a yearning for the one that got away, she finds putting one foot in front of the other as her only saving grace. What she really wants is to be free of feeling the pressure that is her life to get lost.
But when Jordan finds Kimber while losing himself, they both discover, sometimes you just need to feel to be found.

Feeling This is about two people who seemed to experience all the bad things that life has to offer. Jordan Rhodes has lost the girl he loved the most after proposing to her. It’s not only that, he knew that he could have stopped it if only he had asked for help earlier and didn’t wait until it was too late. After suffering a devastating loss and spending his time getting drunk, he finally decided to take a break from everything. He left the comfortable life he knew and searched out to find himself and heal.
Kimber Maguire on the other hand is a really, really tough chick. Balancing two jobs, school, longing for the ‘one’ that got away, dealing with a sister who ran away from home and taking care of her ailing mother – I don’t know how she handled it without falling apart. She was young and supposedly had a full life ahead of her.
My heart goes to Kimber, and I wanted her to finally have that happy ending that she deserved. Her mom had a lot of issues, and sometimes it makes me want to have Kimber leave her. But then she was sick (a kind of disease that medicines can’t cure) and is suffering from depression – she needs her daughter (but does she needs to be a b*tch about it?).
Nevertheless, Kimber proved to be a great character, with a kind heart and a loving soul.
It was love at first sight, and considering how Jordan was feeling with his ex, I was expecting a little more time from him to heal, to be sad for a while and not to love anyone immediately. But love has its way of creeping into your life and surprise you, and without you knowing – you are falling in love with a person you least expect.
Feeling This is beautiful story of love, giving yourself a second chance on life and love, and allowing yourself to live. You will pin for the characters mostly – wishing both of them HEA in one way or the other. Written in alternating POV, Feeling This will make you believe that it is possible to fall in love, even if you are broken, even if your heart has been crushed multiple times, even if you think you don’t have any love left to give – because LOVE, in all its glory, HEALS.
