I’d never get tired of this series. This is my fourth from TAKE THE FALL, and it remains awesome. From the characters, the storyline and the twists, it will make you fall in love in a matter of pages.

Hard to Fall tells the story of Hayden and Saylor – both have deep secrets that they have been hiding. Hayden is the eldest son of a US Senator and was destined to follow his father’s footsteps, only that he really doesn’t like it. He loves being a firefighter and wasn’t ready to give it up. Saylor, on the other hand, is a softie when it comes to animals. She owns a pet-rescue and she’s a product of a movie star and a politician. She practically grew up on her own, her mother tried, but her father practically ignored her until he found out that she was seeing Hayden.  

They started on the wrong foot. One of them forgot everything that happened after their friend’s wedding, and one was not sure whether it was a good idea to tell the other person of what happened. What happens when the secret gets out of the box? Will is start their HEA? Or will it end something that has a promising beginning?

Somehow, Marquita Valentine kept (some of the) secret(s) – most of which I was dying to know! But the rest came out on their own time. Practically, the book did not run out of surprises and twists.

It was easy to love them both, with all their insecurities, baggage and apprehensions, most especially their secrets! It makes them more real than merely characters in the book. I loved it and finished it in one sitting, and it ended beautifully!

Another must-read from Ms. Valentine!

So I get ready to let go and free-fall in the scariest jump of my life. But she's with me. So I swallow my fear and do it. 

Expectations: MET 

I love this book, and I finished it in one sitting. One look at the cover and after reading the blurb, I know I have to read this. So despite the fact I still have two more books on my list, I let this one pass and made this one my priority - and thank God, it did not disappoint me. 

Liz Reinhardt made an exceptional novel that is more than just a simple plot of two people against all odds. It talked about social classes, family, deviancy, drugs, teenage pregnancy and a whole lot more: bound into a book that will keep you interested until the final page. 

Her characters are flawed, which makes them more real and tangible to her readers. I like Evan, her strength and her courage to face anything that came in her way. She fought for their love against 'powerful' forces. For a while, I thought this book would end differently. 

Winch, the name: I love. The person who possess the name: I love more. He gives priority to his family and save their asses to a fault. He loves them and willing to risk everything for them until Evan came along and made him realize that he too has a life to live.

I love every pages of this book, and if I didn't have a lot of books on my list, I would love to read this one again. The drama is not too heavy for my taste, just enough to tickle your tear glands.

Would I recommend this one? Definitely

She continues to wear the ring, perhaps as a shield from any unwanted advantage or from future heartaches. As for Brax, I adore his loving side, but the fast-tempered, violent side of him had me scared. I wanted to ask Olivia:

But when he goes all protective, and really, really sweet he can melt anyone’s heart! First, though, he needed to tell Olivia his secret.

It’s not only Olivia you will love, but there’s her sweet old man, Jilly. He can be tough, but he’s really sweet, and I love the words he said to his granddaughter. A little reminder that whatever happened in the past, she was still worth it.

The only boy good enough for you darlin’ is one who’d sacrificed everything to have you. I’m talking about everything important to him, just to keep you. No matter the cost. Otherwise, he ain’t worth his weight, pound for pound, in pure solid horses**t.

Secrets, lies, and deception – Stupid Girl was a great novel I didn’t expect to love. It may have started out a little slow for me, but as the story progressed, I couldn’t help but got hooked with Olivia and Brax. I watched them fall in love, felt their hearts broken, and even when I was nearing the end of the novel, I was crossing my fingers on the fear that this will have a cliff-hanger ending on how the things are going, good thing it didn’t. You almost got me there, Ms. Miles! Nevertheless, this book’s storyline is as beautiful as its cover.
