Book Review | Hard As Stone by K.M. Scott (@kmscottauthor)

The Heart of Stone series continues with the next generation!

Trouble. Playboy. Heartbreakingly gorgeous. Ethan Stone, the only son and spitting image of billionaire Tristan Stone, has a long line of women who would kill for a night with him, and rumor has it he's more than happy to oblige.

But Ethan has a problem. His family wants him to settle down. Why, he can't understand. But he needs to figure out a way to convince them he's given up his wild ways while at the same time living his life the way he wants to.

He has a plan, though, and Summer Carmichael, the quintessential girl-next-door, is perfect to help him. But Ethan better watch out or he might just find himself falling for exactly the kind of woman his family wishes he'd bring home.

BOOK REVIEW

4.5/5

Wow, the next generation is here!!!! And I am just excited to read, especially when it started with the only boy among the siblings, ETHAN.

Ethan is trouble. He's Tristan Stone's son - so he's not only gorgeous, but trouble as well. He has loads of women at his beck and call, especially as a photographer. But at 25, his family wants to see him settled down with a nice girl. He just needs his family to get off his back and convince them that he's finally given up his wild ways, and still living the life.

When he met Summer Carmichael in one of his photoshoots, he finally found the perfect girl to bring home to his family. Just to show them that he finally found someone, and stop them from meddling with his life. What he didn't expect is to enjoy her company, and wishing for more time with her.

Ethan has his baggage and secrets he couldn't share. It wasn't his secret to share, and he promised someone. That's the beginning of the problem. Especially when he refused to tell Summer about it that caused their breakup. Ethan is a great brother, and would do everything for his sisters, especially with Diana. He and Tressa's relationship wasn't that great compare to the former.

Then all hell broke loose - They broke up, she lost her job, he lost his job, and he went back to work to his family's company which he hates. When Tressa recruited Summer to be her assistant along with the assignment to get Tristan out of the company and back to his photography and make him fall inlove with her, she was desperate enough to accept the job except for the falling in love part.

Summer has her own sets of dramas that sometimes were over the top, but overall, she's the nice girl that every parents want to met, every man's fantasy in the bedroom. Her life wasn't easy, but she works hard for everything that she had. She just asked honesty from Ethan, and that was fair enough. So when Ethan decided not to answer simple questions, I don't blame her to quit things off.

This story was worth the read. I love that K.M. Scott decided to do the next generation of Stones. Hard As Stone is hot, romantic and you get to meet Tristan and Nina Stone once again! Ethan's story was a great way to start, and it would pique your interest about the two girls and would really want to make you read the next two books in the series!
