BOOK REVIEW

5/5

Devney Perry sure knows how to make her reader feels. Tragic is another one of her masterpiece that will make you ache, squirm, and fall in love.

We are back to Lark Cove again, and this time, Piper comes into town as the new addition to our growing family. Her divorce was finalized, and she just need a new start, not the familiar places that would remind her of her ex-husband. She was warmly welcomed by everyone, and she was excited to start her new life in the quiet town, until she meets her brooding, sexy neighbor whose painfully beautiful suffering eyes almost mirrors her.

Kaine has his secrets and he intends to keep it to himself. He likes his solitude and he didn't like to be disrupted. Having a new neighbor who is as sexy as heck as Piper is certainly a distraction for him, not to mention the ongoing renovations in her new home causes noise that makes makes him lose his concentration on his work.

The confrontation resulted differently, instead of words, kisses were exchange - and soon both found themselves in a no-string affair. But when their affair resulted in one big surprise - will Kaine be brave enough to face it? Or will he let Piper go?

Just like the other Lark Cove Series, I couldn't help but fall in love with this book. I love the characters - their pains, imperfections and their redemption. How they fought their demons and get through the worse of their lives. Kaine and Piper were just perfect for each other. Piper might push Kaine's button, but she knows her limit. Kaine is so enamored with her, that even though he's angry, Piper could still make him smile and laugh.

Their road wasn't easy. There were baggage, and secrets that they needed to overcome along the way, but in the end, after the all the road bumps and detours, they made it. Indeed, love is THAT powerful that it can give light into the darkness you never thought that's going to end.

This is another must-read from Devney Perry, one you couldn't put down until you are through.
