Being able to stand on your own two feet, sometimes requires getting knocked off them completely...
McKenzie “Kenzie” Lane is newly graduated from college and looking forward to a dream internship she has lined up for the summer in LA. Unfortunately, her controlling mother has other plans.
Colby Singer, with his hot-as-sin looks and wicked charm, is never without attention from the ladies. Despite suspecting how Kenzie feels about him, he’s always kept her comfortably off-limits since she’s the baby sister of one of his best friends.
But when he’s determined to distract her temporarily from the stress of her mother’s ultimatum, deciding to show her some fun, he quickly finds that keeping her in the friend zone is not as easy as he’d hoped.
Once Kenzie realizes this may be her last opportunity to gauge her long-time crush’s true feelings, she puts it all out there in the form of a bet. It's the perfect idea for her perfect man.
Until he isn’t.
Will a dose of reality lead to true love? Or will it crash and burn before it can even get started?
Full Length Standalone book with no cliffhanger. Third book of the “Something Series”
Recommended for mature readers due to situations of language, and sexual content.

Kenzie wanted to do some internship in LA, but her mother
had other plans for her, and it involves her going back home and taking her
MBA.
Colby has this PDG (panty dropping grin) to die for! He’s
a charmer with the ladies and has a reputation. Kenzie is too good for him, and
despite the fact he somehow knew how she felt for him, he keeps her in a safe
distance. Being her brother’s best friend and considering her as a baby sister.
But when he tried to distract her from her stress with
her mother’s threats, and show her some fun, he realizes that resisting her
would be really hard, and soon, he found himself succumbing to temptation.
I didn’t like Kenzie the first time I met her – she seemed
like a love-struck teenager with no backbone. But it changed, somewhere along
the pages, she started to grow some courage and maturity while falling in love
with someone she had long to be with. I really applauded her in the last part
of the novel, it was never too late to grow some balls and show that she can
manage on her own. I kept on cheering for her, and I was glad she didn’t settle
for anything less than what she deserved.
Colby has his own burden to carry. He really thinks he
wasn’t good enough for Kenzie, but he had change, and he only has eyes for her.
Now, if he can only convince his brothers and her brother that she was it for
him.
Their relationship was young, it wasn’t perfect but I
love the way how they worked on it. They were both novice when it comes to
relationship, and they were both willing to work on their shortcomings. Together,
going through rough stuffs for the first time, talking it out and well, there’s
the amazing make-up sex.
I love, love, love this book. It is inspiring, romantic, fun
and sizzling hot, wrapped in one great package. I enjoyed reading it, and I’m
really glad it came as a stand-alone. I couldn’t wait to read the rest of the
series and more books from this author!
