Miss Katherine Ross is a wealthy, eccentric socialite who knows precisely what she wants: No husband. No children. No candlelit tête-à-tête with the insufferably emotionless Duke of Ravenwood. She's convinced his heart is ice — until she touches that chiseled chest for herself. One lapse in judgment is all it takes to turn both their lives topsy-turvy...
The Duke of Ravenwood isn't cold and haughty, but a secret romantic who has always dreamt of marrying for love. Instead, he gets Miss Katherine Ross — a headstrong hoyden intent on unraveling his carefully ordered world. He doesn't know whether to kiss her or throttle her. Can they survive each other's company long enough to turn a compromise into love?

What happens when
opposites found themselves thrust and married into each other?
Unlike the Duke of
Ravenwood who is stiff and adheres to order and propriety, Katherine Ross likes
to do everything according to what she wants in life, with no regards to social
standards. She values her independence. No husband and most especially, no
children. But one single moment had brought them together, and entwined their
lives forever.
Yes, he’s cold and
haughty, but beneath the frozen-like exterior – our Duke has more to him than
meets the eye. I may have started out hating his guts and the way he treated
Katherine (but I love the way she responds to his actions), but as the story
progress and as I get to know him a little better with each chapter, I grow
fond of him. Of his quirks, of his secrets and most of all, of the change that
Katherine and love brought him.
And as for our Katherine,
she’s doing everything to be a great Duchess and makes adjustment to compromise
with Ravenwood. She does everything to fit in to her new title and changing
herself a bit. Good thing, Ravenwood already like/love her just the way she is.
It’s short, romantic,
heartwarming and emotional read. I loved how the story progressed, the changes
in the characters and how they work things out for their marriage to work.
