When Quinn Rockwell left Rockwell Island a decade ago to build a shipping empire, he never thought he’d return to live on Cape Cod Bay—that is, until his grandfather summons Quinn and his four siblings to take over the prestigious Rockwell Resort. Quinn is already working fifteen-hour days, and the last thing he has time for is his grandfather’s demands. But on his first night back, when Quinn finds a gorgeous and carefree woman skinny-dipping in his favorite cove, he’s tempted to ignore his work for a while…and focus on her instead.

As a free spirit who follows her heart and her dreams, Shelley Walters is not the kind of girl to wait around for Mr. Right, so she heads to Rockwell Island for the honeymoon of her dreams—a solo honeymoon. Ready for a week of sun and fun, she never expected to meet a man like Quinn Rockwell.

Wealthy and intensely driven, Quinn is everything Shelley swore she didn’t want. Refreshingly spontaneous and a true romantic, Shelley is everything Quinn never knew he needed. Drawn together despite their differences, during a week of sizzling-hot passion and deep conversations, they fall head over heels for each other. But when their perfect week on the island is over, will their love survive in the real world?

CHECK OUT THE REST OF THE SERIES

Bella Andre and Melissa Foster separately make great novels that have touched millions of readers worldwide, but together? They’re unstoppable. So yes, my expectations were quite high, and ever since the news went out, I was pretty much excited to read this novel. It didn’t disappoint.

Both authors have books that tell stories about great romance and amazing family ties, this time we are introduced to a new family that will surely earn a spot in your hearts. Not only that, we are transported into the magnificent Rockwell Island.

More than just an island I have fell in love with, Rockwell Island is more of a tight-knit family than a community. More than half of the people are employed by the resort – and are about to lose their jobs if the Rockwell kids choose wrong.

They might have grown up in a warm and loving environment, but their grandfather was quite different. He was cold, controlling and one of the reasons why some of them preferred for a life outside the island rather than be in it.

Quinn have left the island and built a shipping empire on his own. Returning to Cape Code wasn’t on his to-do list but he was forced to do so when the patriarch of the Rockwell family, his grandfather, had summoned them and his four siblings to take over the resort. Each of them had their own business, and Quinn was spending a whole lot of time with mergers and contracts – how can he find time for his grandfather’s demands? Not only that, the unexpected happened on his first night on the island.

Meeting Shelley.

Shelley Walters is a breath of fresh air. She’s wonderful, she follows her heart and her dreams. Shelley came from a prominent family with parents who were too busy to pay attention to her. She didn’t want to have a future like that. She wanted something normal, so rich men were off the table. Until Quinn.

If Shelley makes him once again appreciate the old things he used to enjoy in the Cape, the things he forgot. Quinn makes Shelley forget about her apprehensions with regards to rich men. Quinn was really trying so hard in changing, in trying to prove that he was different, that he can have time, that she can be a priority. He might slip sometimes, but, he sure is trying. With that – he already won me over.

I always believe if you want something, if you want to find time for something – you can do it. It was hard, especially for Quinn at first, but when he finally decided, and found a solution to his problem, making the right choice was easy.

I fell in love completely with the Cape Cod Kisses. I love both characters, including the warm characters that surround them. Even Chandler, I think there is more to him than his initial coldness. The dialogues were to swoon for, and you will look forward for the couple’s small chats. In a short time, they have known each other and fell hopelessly in love.

This is the first book in the series, and in no doubt, I will be looking forward for more from these two amazing authors.
